Do You Know What You Are Doing? Are You Making Excuses?

It's time to stop making excuses.   An excuse is an attempt to lessen the blame for something.....or when you seek to defend or justify something.    God wants us to stop making excuses......   Excuses for our actions, excuses for our words, excuses for our lives.    We need to begin to understand the things we do and the things we say have an impact.

Understand that because of God's grace and God's mercy.....we are forgiven.   But it is still impacting our lives.   The quality of  our lives.   The position we take in life.    An excuse......   We have to begin to live out our lives without excuses.   Without trying to defend or explain away the things that we do.

There are times when we don't understand what we are doing and when you don't have knowledge and understanding you tend to do things by mistake.   But....there are other times when we know exactly what we are doing and we do it and try to explain it away.   It is at that point that it becomes willful sin.   Where we sin willingly and knowingly.   Where we go in with the precept that God understands.   He will forgive me.   I'm just not strong enough.

Question.....if your strength is in Him.....why are you not strong enough?    It is only when you are trying to operate in yourself that your strength fails.   That you walk in frailty.

God is looking for you to make a choice.   To choose Him over everything and everyone else.   To choose to walk with Him .... to talk to Him..... to love Him.   We are quick to say that we are alone....and lonely.   But where was God in your time of loneliness.  Why didn't you spend time with Him....commune with Him.   He was right there....waiting on you.....but your focus was to find someone or something else.

The thing is .... when the someone or something else lets you down.....you then tend to run back to God for the comfort you need.    Isn't it funny how we seek companionship from someone and then run to God for comfort.   Why don't you let your comforter be your companion.    Stop dividing your relationship with Him.    Allow Him to be the core of every relationship you have.   Remember that in the core there are seeds for other relationships....but those relationships are birthed out of your relationship with Him.   The relationships that come from the core of your relationship with God will bear fruit.   The fruit of God.   They will produce love...joy....peace....and comfort.
