Understand Who God Is......

Understanding who God is.   Understanding His goodness.   His grace.   His mercy.  

We experience all of these things......but do we truly understand what God has done and is doing for us?    Understand means to comprehend.   When you comprehend a thing.......you take in the meaning, the nature, and you grasp the importance of it.  

Do you really know what it means to love sacrificially?   To give up your best to someone who does not possess the qualities of deserving even the things that mean least to you.   To take who you are and become a representation of the thing that you hate the most (sin).  

We have to begin to understand the love and nature of God.   To truly comprehend who He is and what He has done.   Not just casually saying that you know Him.   But really getting to know Him.   Knowing is knowledge and the only way to obtain the knowledge of who God is ...... is to begin to read His word......meditate on His word....pray His word.  

God's word reveals Him.   It unveils His love.   It unveils His nature.   It unveils His power, His goodness and His grace.  

God is His word.   They are not separate.    We try to separate ourselves from what we say because what we say with our mouths may not line up with what we want others to see or believe.   But God "is" His word.   They are one.   What He says.....He is.   What He says....He will do.   What He says.....reflects Him.

Get to know God today.   Understand and comprehend Him in His fullness.    For in His fullness is faith.   And when you become full of His faith......you then will become "faithful".
