When you are going through so much in your life and in
your body, it is sometimes hard to see that it is all going to work together
for your good. But that is what God
said. He said our light afflictions are
but for a moment and they worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal
weight of glory. We get caught up in
the pain of what we are going through and fail to understand that it is what we
are going through that is working for us.
God goes on in His Word to say that we look at the things we can see which
are temporary, yet it is the unseen things that are eternal.
II Corinthians 4:17-18
King James Version
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
We have to live our lives in faith. Trusting and believing God for those things
we cannot see. We have to stop being
moved and motivated by the here and now and understand that God’s plan is
eternal. His plan goes far beyond what
we can see or even think.
“Father help us.
Help us to see beyond what we are going through. Help us to know that You are at work in our
situations. Father as we keep our eyes
on You, we ask that You bring forth the manifestation of Your glory in our
situations. Father we love You. We trust You.
We believe You. We believe that You
are working it together for our good in Jesus name. Amen”
