The goal is God. The goal is always set before you. A goal is a target or plan. It is an aim or desired result. If you are aiming for something, it is set before you so that you can see it. It is not behind you. Stop looking in the wrong direction in your pursuit of God.
If you are truly pursuing God, you have to stop looking back. You have to stop going back. Every time you go back, you lose momentum. It interrupts your pace, progress, and growth. There comes a time in your walk with God where you come to the complete understanding that the repetitive backwards and forward cycle must stop. Keep your eyes on the giver of life. Pursuing a right relationship with God should always be your goal.
Running is not an option. Running from God can never get you to God. God is calling you closer and you are still keeping him at a distance. A gulf can be defined as a hole, pit, or split. Why is there a gulf between you and God? What is causing the division and separation? God is calling you closer and yet the gulf between the two of you keeps getting wider and wider.
It's time to build a bridge. Close the gap. Get to the other side with God. You have to understand ... sin separates. In order to get to where God has called you to be, you have to build a bridge through God's Word. Follow God. Trust God. Believe God. Love God. Let your trust, belief, and faith carry You across the bridge of faith into the blessings He has already prepared for you. It's time to stop running from God and to begin running to God.
Forever Changed. Who said your change had to be temporary? When something is temporary, it doesn't last long. It is limited and not permanent. Understand the blood of Jesus was a permanent sacrifice. There are no limits in God. So why do the decisions and changes you make in life have to be temporary?
The enemy will always come and present doubt before you in order for you to question your commitment and trust in God. You have to begin to recognize his tactics. When you have made a choice for God, anything that comes against that choice is not of God. God will never contradict Himself or His Word. He is our Healer. He is our peace. He is our joy. He is our strength. Once you have received healing in any area of your life, hold on to it. Know and understand .. you are forever changed. The blood sacrifice was permanent.
What do you do when God gives you an assignment? One definition of the word assignment is "appointment: a position, duty, or job for which somebody is chosen". When God chooses you. When God appoints you. When God puts you in a position and assigns duties and jobs for you to complete. What do you do? Do you work your assignment as though man put you there? When you get hired by a company, they give you an employee handbook. A book that tells you the rules and the regulations for working there. They give you the handbook so that you will have an understanding of their expectations. If you don't abide by what is in the handbook, you lose your job.
What about the assignment and job God has given you? He gave you a handbook as well. His Word. Thankfully, along with His handbook comes grace and mercy. His mercy for you to complete the assignment is renewed every day ... just in case you need it. The one thing we must learn to do in order to complete the assignments that God has set before us, is allow Him to be the boss. We must allow Him to lead. We must respect His position of authority in our lives. Once we do that, it will be easy to walk out our assignments to completion and help to train others along the way.
Why are you stopping right here? Why are you losing your faith? Why are failing to trust and believe what God has said? It is God's desire for you to trust Him. He wants you to believe Him. He wants You to walk in obedience so that He can honor His Word in your life.
Move forward in God. Behind you is your past. Stop dragging the pain of your past into the hope of your future. Stop letting what happened cause you to doubt what God has said will happen. One definition for the word stop is leave or discontinue. It's time to leave the past behind and to bring an end to allowing it to affect your future.
