What Is Controlling Your Actions, Reactions, and Responses To Life?

What is controlling you?   Are you being controlled from the inside out or the outside in?   In other words, are the words that people are saying controlling your thoughts and actions or are you hearing what people are saying but still standing, staying, and trusting in the Word of God?   I’m not saying that you should not listen to what is going on in the world.   I’m saying that once you know what is going on in the world let the “Word” you know control your actions, reactions, and response to it.

We need to obey the laws of the land.   So if we are being told to self-isolate, we should be self-isolating.   Understand, even though you are self-isolating, you are still not alone.   God is with you.   He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you.  We have to change our thinking about self-isolation.   We need to see self-isolation as a divine opportunity to spend more time with God.   A time to get our thoughts right and  a time to pray for a change to take place in the earth.   A change that not only encompasses the coronavirus but a change that will bring people closer to God.   Self-isolation is an opportunity for you to commune with God.   It’s an opportunity for you to have that time to worship, to pray, and to read God’s Word that you may have said in the past that you didn’t have time to do.

Understand today that knowledge is suppose to give us power.   You can’t pray for what you do not know.   We gain knowledge from various sources but understand power for change comes ONLY from God.    Don’t let what you know cause you to walk in fear.   Fear is not of God.  Let faith arise and pray about what you know and expect God to bring about the change that is needed.

Joshua 1:9
King James Version

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

We Have To Remember … In Our Frailness God Is Strong

Are you looking at life through your natural eyes or are you looking through the lens of God’s Word?    How do you see yourself and how do you see God?   Do you see yourself as weak and do you see God as your strength?   We have to understand that even in our frailness, God is strong.  His strength is made perfect in our weakness.    We have to not only see but we have to know that He is real and He will do what we can’t do in ourselves.

Have you cried out to Him?   Have you worshipped Him in Spirit and in truth?   Have you told Him you love Him and have you said verbally that your expectancy is from Him?   Have you given God your all?   Have you opened up the door of Your heart and truly let Him in?  Are you walking in obedience to His will and His Word for your life?

There are many things we want God to do but we have to begin to ask ourselves are we doing all we can for Him.   Lay it all down.   Lay down your life (your wants and your desires) for God.   Pick up His purpose and His plan for your life.   Be totally surrendered.

Romans 12:2
King James Version A

nd be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

What Are You Doing Now? What Is Your Response To What Is Going On In The World?

What are you doing now?   Now that you can’t do life as usual?   Are you waiting on God?   Is your trust in Him?   Are you seeking Him with your whole heart or are you looking to man to get the answers to the questions you have for life?

God is a good God.  He is faithful, loving, and just.   He knows all and He sees all things.   He can do whatever it is that needs to be done in the earth.    He said in His Word that if we seek Him, we shall find Him.   Are you seeking God?

Right now the world is going through a pandemic.    A pandemic is a global outbreak of an infectious disease.   It starts as an epidemic where it only covers a specific area or community but has grown to cover the whole world.

As we look back in history, we see where the world has experienced other pandemics throughout the ages.   There was the Zika virus, ebola, Spanish flu, swine flu, HIV, etc..  There have been many pandemics in the world but now our response is different.  In today’s society our response has been to shut everything down to slow down and to stop the spread of the virus but even after the local and national government shutdowns, what are you doing personally to combat the spread of this disease in the physical realm and the spiritual realm?   The question again is, what are you doing now?   Are you praying?   Are you walking in fear?   Are you trusting God?   Are you expecting God to do the miraculous?    Whatever it is you are doing today, make sure your faith is overriding your fear.   Make sure you are going to God in prayer and trusting and believing that He will answer you.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Jeremiah 24:7, KJV

"And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart."

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
