Are You Allowing The Enemy's Actions To Affect Your Emotions?

What is your response to what the enemy is doing?   Are you responding in fear or are you amping up your faith?    Are you resting in God's Word to you or are you being moved by what the enemy is trying to do to you?   Understand today that you are covered by the blood.   Understand, what God said when He said that no weapon formed against you shall prosper.   Understand, that God's angels of protection surround you and understand, God is fighting for you.

So why fear?   Why allow the enemy's actions to affect your emotions.   Remember, God has placed the enemy under our feet and we have stop moving our feet and stand still on the firm foundation of God's Word.   It's when we move off of God's Word that we give the enemy the room wreak more havoc in our lives.

The enemy is always going to try us but God is always going to protect us.   So when the enemy comes in like a flood and does what he does, trust God to do what only He can do.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Deuteronomy 31:6

King James Version

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Where Is Your Comfort Zone? Have You Found Comfort In Sin or Is Your Comfort In God? Are You Quitting The Wrong Thing?

How hard is it for you to quit?   Sometimes it seems like we have it backwards.   We tend to quit on the things God is telling us to do that are good for us and yet we fail to quit the habits and things we know are not good for us.   People tend to hold on to habitual sin even though they know it is bad for them and they let go of reading God's Word and living life according to His Word even though they know it is good for them.

It's time to get it right.   It's time to let go of those things that are not of God and to pick up those things we know God has told us to do.   The thing is, change is never easy.   Have you ever heard the saying, old habits are hard to break?   It is true.   Letting go of habitual sin is hard to do and starting all over doing a new thing can also be hard to do but we must try.  If we step out on faith doing what God has told us to do, we have to trust that God will step in and help us.

Quitting should not be hard when it comes to sin and easy when it comes to the things of God.   It should be hard to quit on God and easy to quit sin but we have become desensitized when it comes to sin.   People in the world look at sin as normal behavior and they look at serving God as abnormal.   Our perception of life and how we live life has to be different from the perception of the world.   Let God be your normal and let sin be abnormal when it comes to it operating in your life.   Be uncomfortable when it comes to sin.   Sin should not be your comfort zone.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

2 Corinthians 1:4

“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

What Are You Allowing To Lead You In Life? Do You Need To Go In Another Direction?

Who or what are you being led by?   Are you being led by your emotions?   Are you being led by fear?   Are you being led by other people?   Are you being led by God?   We can be led by people, place, and things.   What is leading you in life?   What is causing you to submit and to follow?

God's desire is for us to be led by Him and His Word but the devil's desire is for us to be led by him and his words?   Who's words are you following?    What is speaking to your life?   If what is speaking to your life leads you into sin, that is of the devil.   If what is speaking to your life leads you to be holy as God is holy, that is of God.   It really is that simple.  The process of doing it is not simple but God was very clear about the line between holiness and sin.   Difficulty comes in when we try to come up with a compromise to justify our sin.

Take time today to check your own life.   Ask yourself what have you allowed to lead you in life.   Is it your emotions?   Is it fear?   Is it other people?   Is it God?   We choose what we want to follow and the good thing is, if we are following the wrong thing, we can choose to go in another direction.

What Are You Trying To Hold Onto In Life That You Already Know Is Not Right For Your Life?

Are you trying to make something feel right that God has already said is not right for your life?   Are you trying to make someone or something fit into your life that you already know in your heart and mind is a misfit for your life?   When something is a misfit, it conspicuous.   In other words, it stands out and it is noticeable that it does not fit properly.

Some things we try to bring into our lives are obviously noticeable that they don't fit in our lives.   We have to learn how to let go of the obvious people, places, and things that are out of alignment with God, His Word, and His will for our lives.   We have to learn how to let go so that we don't occupy space nor time for what God is truly trying to bring into our lives.   We have to let go so that we don't delay God's blessings.

Remember, God is trying to do a new thing in You, for You, and through You and it comes with the process of growth.   Just like a baby tooth has to come out for a new tooth to grow in it's space, so it is with the things of God.   We sometimes must let go of what has been occupying space in our hearts, minds, and lives in order for the seed of God's Word to grow so that He can do a new thing in our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 43:18-19

King James Version

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

How Are You Handling The Change That Comes With Life?

With life comes change.   The question is, what are you doing when you experience change?   Are you so comfortable in the way your life has been that you are murmuring and complaining because change is taking place or are you embracing the change that is taking place knowing that God is doing a new thing in you and for you?

What happens when the change is different from what you wanted and expected?   Are you trusting in the fact that God knows what He is doing and He promised that He would work everything together for your good and His glory.

Change is inevitable.   Through the process of time we change and the world changes.   The only one and only thing that does not change is God and His power and ability.   So in the midst of change, we have to be anchored and have our trust in God because we know that as long as we are anchored in Him and His Word, we will remain stable in life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Do You Ever Feel Like You Are Repeating Life's Lessons Over and Over Again?

Do you ever feel like your life is on repeat?  Do you feel like you are at a place where you are going through the same process over and over again?    The same trial and the same test over and over again?  If so, it's time to get out of the cycle of repeat.

Ask yourself how did you handle it before?   How did you act and react to what you were going through?    What was your attitude and what was your response to that situation in your life?   Did you quit in the middle of the process or did you see it through?    There are many reasons that God lets us repeat some of the same lessons in life and there are times where the reason for repeat is because of something we did or did not do.

You have to understand that there are areas in our lives where the enemy knows we are sensitive and weak and those are the areas that the enemy will always target.   You have to make sure you don't become frustrated with the process.   You have to make sure that you are not overwhelmed by the pain.   You have to trust God throughout the process and not just in the beginning. You have to always remember that you are not alone.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Are You Walking In Limited Faith When You Serve A Limitless God?

Do you believe in miracles?   Do you believe that God can?   Do you believe that He will?   Do you believe?

You have to believe that God can and will do whatever needs to be done in your life even if it means that He has to work a miracle in your life.   God is not limited to what He can do but you have to believe.   It doesn't make sense to have limited faith when you serve a limitless God.

Today is a new day and it is a good day to stay in faith.   It is a good day to take God at His Word.   It is a good day to trust the Lord with all of your heart and to lean not at your own understanding.   It is a good day to follow God in faith.   The question is, what will you do in this new day?   How will you react to the tests and the trials that are coming up against you in life?   Will you believe God and have faith that He will do whatever needs to be done for you?

Remember to believe that God can and He will honor His Word in your life.   It's time to take the limits off of God that you have placed on Him.  Believe that He can do ALL things.

Is Your Trust In What You Can See Or Is It In The God That You Know?

In who and what are you putting your trust?   Are you putting your trust in God or are you putting your trust in people, places, and things?   People tend to put their trust in other people, places, and things because they can see them.   Your trust can't be based on what you see in this physical realm because this physical realm is constantly changing.   Your trust needs to be in God because He changes NOT.

Not only does God not change, He also knows and can do all things.   People are limited but our Father is limitless.   The only limits God has are the limits we put on Him by failing to walk in faith.   We have to make sure we are not limiting God to what we can see.   He sees beyond that.    We have peripheral vision and we are limited but God sees all.  Not only does He see everything in the physical realm, He also sees everything in time.   He sees our past, He sees our present, and He sees our future.   He sees it all right now.   We have to wait for things to happen but God already knows everything that will ever happen.   That is why our trust should be in Him, the One who knows all and can do all things.

Are You Letting Go Of The Old So That God Can Do A New Thing In You and For You?

Have you learned the art of letting go?   There will be times in your life when you just have to let go.   Let go of the hurt.   Let go of the pain.   Let go of the people, places, and things that are keeping you from walking fully in the plan and the purpose that God has ordained for your life.   Sometimes you just have to let go.

It's hard to grab ahold to something new if your hands and your heart have a tight grasp on what you already have.   Sometimes the load of what you have that is old is all that you can carry.   That's why you have to let go of the old because that old load will weigh you down.   it brings with it the hurt, the pain, and the problems of your past.   Will you let it all go?   Will you do what God said do and cast the cares of it all on Him?   Will you allow God to be your burden bearer?

Letting go is not an easy thing to do because we like to have control and sometimes if we don't have control, we feel as though our situations will get out of control.   It's at those times that we must learn how to trust God and know that He is always in control.

Are You Listening To The Voice Of Your Situation That Is Fueled By Your Emotions or Are You Listening To The Voice Of God That Is Fueled By Meditating On His Word?

The truth is, sometimes life is hard.   Sometimes it is hard to trust and it is hard to believe but you have to understand, you still have to trust and you still have to believe.   Just because a situation is hard to endure, doesn't mean it is too hard to overcome.   How are you handling the hard times that come with life?   Are you enduring hardness as a good soldier or are you giving up and quitting because you feel your situation is too hard to overcome?

The Bible tells us to endure.  The situation tells us to give up and quit.   What voice are you listening to?   Are you listening to the voice of God which is fueled by meditating on His Word or you listening to voice of your situation that is fueled by your emotions?

We can't get weary.   We can't give up.   We can't quit.   We have to remember that our trials and tribulations are working together for our good.   They are teaching us how to patiently endure while we wait upon the Lord.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 5:3

Amplified Version

And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance;

Do You Understand That Your Salvation Includes Supernatural Assistance From God?

Are you continuing to do what God has told you to do in the midst of your tests and trials?   Are you still ministering to the needs of others, even though you know that you have a need?   Are you focused on self or are you trusting God with what you need while you focus on ministering to the needs of others?

Life can be hard sometimes but even in the hard times, God is still there.   We may not understand why we have to go through what we are going through but we must always remember, God is on our side.   He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us.   He has promised to take care of us.   He has promised to shield us and to protect us.  He has promised to make a way for us.

We have to understand what is included in our salvation.   We have to know that our salvation includes preservation, protection, and deliverance from danger.   It also includes supernatural assistance from God.

The Bible tells us to watch and see the salvation of the Lord.   So today, let's be still and know that God is God.   Let's wait on Him.   Let's keep our eyes stayed on Him and let's watch Him deliver us as only He can.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Psalm 62:7

King James Version

In God is my salvation and my glory:
the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Are You Still Trusting God When Your Process Of Breakthrough, Healing, Provision, and Deliverance Is Not Coming The Way You Expected It To Come?

How often in life do you believe that God can do a thing but you still wonder if He will?   Understand, faith believes that God can and it believes that God will.    Believing God can is faith and wondering if He will is doubt.   We have to believe that God can AND that God will.   We have to take God at His Word and we have to trust that Word to be at work in our lives.

When you believe something, you take it as fact.    You take it as what is known and proven to be true.   Do you believe God?   Are you taking His Word as your truth?   The Bible documents God's truth.   It shows us how He divinely intervenes and supernaturally provides.   It shows us what He will do for those who put their trust in Him.   It confirms who He is and what He will do.   We just have to accept His written Word and let it be the foundation for the truth we believe and stand on.

We have to settle it in our heart that we believe that God can do all things and we have to believe that what He has done for others, He can and will do for us if we honor Him, obey Him, and have faith in Him and His Word.   We have to decide that we are going to stand firm no matter what and we are going to trust God even though our process of breakthrough, healing, provision, and deliverance may come in a different way than what we imagined.

Are You Finding Comfort In God To The Point That You Trust Him, Believe Him, Talk To Him, and Wait On Him?

What are you doing when you feel all alone?   Are you seeking God?   Are you aware of the fact that He is still near?   Are you taking the time to talk to God?   Do you understand, it is at those times when you can have your most intimate and honest conversations with God?

We have to understand, we are NEVER alone.   God is with us.   He has promised to never leave us and He said that He would never forsake us.   His Holy Spirit dwells on the inside us.   His power works for us, in us, and through us.   WE ARE NEVER WITHOUT GOD but we do have to acknowledge His presence in our lives.

Even though you may know God is with you, you still have to trust Him.   Have you ever been around someone you just didn't trust?   A person that made you uncomfortable when you were around them.   In order for you to receive the comfort of God, you have to be comfortable around God.   You have to be comfortable enough to talk to Him.   You have to be comfortable enough to put your trust in Him.   You have to be comfortable enough to believe Him, to wait on Him, and to rest in Him.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

King James Version

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Are You Trusting God To Be The Source and Resource For Your Life or Are You Seeking Stuff More Than You Are Seeking God?

Do you realize that you are already blessed?   Do you know that God has given you all things that pertain to life and Godliness?   Do you understand that you have been empowered with the power of God?  Do you believe that you have all that you need because you have Jesus?

Are you seeking the Lord or are you seeking stuff?    Do you remember that the Bible said, seek the Lord while He may be found?   It says call on Him while He is near.   We need to seek Him and we need to call on Him.  God wants the wicked to forsake their ways and the unrighteous to forsake their thoughts.   God wants us to trust Him,  follow Him, and to believe that He will do whatever needs to be done in our lives.

So often in life people (including us) get caught up on what we don't have that we think we need but the question is, do we really need it.   God said in His Word that He knows the things we have need of and He is faithful and just to provide us with those things.   Instead of getting caught up and disappointed in what we don't have, we have to switch our focus on God and trust Him to supply those things that He knows we need.   We have to learn how to trust God completely and that means trusting Him to be the source and resource for our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Matthew 6:7-8

King James Version

7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.

Has Life and The Situations In Your Life Left You Feeling Overwhelmed?

What is it that is causing you to give up, quit, and to give in?   Are you tired of being tired?   Are you washing and refreshing yourself with the water of God's Word?

Life and the situations that come with life can be overwhelming.   They can leave you weighed down to the point that you just don't feel like you can get up.   Life brings with it dirt and that dirt can cause you to cover up or bury your emotions and it can cause you to carry around the undesirable dirty parts of your past.

God's wants us refreshed, restored, and renewed and we can only get that way by washing ourselves with the water of His Word.   We have to know that His Word says we are forgiven.   We have to know that His Word says that He loves us.   We have to know that He said that we are made new.

Don't let life tire you.   Know that God has given you His Word to refresh and to restore you.

Are You Living Your Life In A Way Where Your Whole Life Is A Testimony About God's Goodness, Grace, Love, and Mercy or Are You Only Allowing God To Use Bits and Pieces Of The Life He Gave You?

What has changed?   What has changed about the way you walk and the way you talk?   Are you walking in a different direction than the world?   Is your conversation different from what it used to be when you lived your life before you got saved?   What is coming out of the fountain of your heart, mind, and mouth?   Something should have changed.

God said in His Word that He would do a new thing in you.   Are you letting Him?   Are you letting Him show others His love through your actions and your life?   Are you letting His Word flow through you so that others can know what He said He would do?   Are you letting God's light shine through you so that it can dispel the darkness in the world?   Are you truly surrendered to God so that your whole life (not just bits and pieces of your life) can be a testimony about God's goodness, grace, love, and mercy.

Understand, with God change takes place.   The new you should be more like God and less like the world.   You will probably feel as though you don't fit in and you won't be comfortable doing the things you used to do but you will be freer than you have ever been because the bondages of sin that had a hold on you will no longer be able to bind you to what was keeping you bound in life.

Have You Learned How To Let Go So That God Can Do A New Thing In You and For You?

How hard is it for you to let go?   Are you having a hard time letting go of the old relationships?  Are you having a hard time letting go of the old thoughts?  Are you having a hard time letting go of the old stuff?  Are you having a hard time letting go of what someone did to you?   Are you having a hard time letting go of what you used to do so that you can do what God has called you to do?

Letting go can be hard but sometimes we have to let go so that God can do the new thing that He wants to do in you, for you, and through you.   We have to learn how to let go so that we can make room for God to move.

To let go means to release.   Letting go brings with it freedom from confinement, restraint, and bondage.   God doesn't want us in bondage and sometimes when we hold on to what we should be releasing, we put ourselves in a place of bondage.   When you are in bondage, you are under the influence, force, and power of someone or something.   The only influence, force, and power that we need to be under is the influence, force, and power of God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 13:1-2

King James Version

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

What Means More To You, God's Opinion or People's Opinion? Are You Acknowledging The Presence of People More Than You Are Acknowledging God's Presence?

Are you worried about what people think or what they are going to say?   Do you worry that they won't agree with what you believe or what you are trusting God to do for you?   Are you letting the opinions of others dictate how you live and respond to life?

Understand, you are living life for the audience of One and that One is God.   The opinions and the approvals of man should never override you wanting the approval of God.   You have to remember, Jesus died so that you could live.   God sacrificed His Son for us to live and we need to choose to live our lives well.

Take a moment and think about how you acknowledge God in your life.   Most people like to know that you know that they are there.   They want you to acknowledge their presence even if it is just by saying hello.   My question for you today is, are you acknowledging God's presence?   When you get up in the morning are you saying good morning to God?    Are you taking the time to ask God to lead, guide, and to direct your path?    Are your recognizing Him and His power and are you yielding and asking Him to have His way?    Question is, do you acknowledge the presence of your family, your friends, your supervisors, your co-workers, and strangers more than you acknowledge God's presence?   Do you talk to others more than you talk to God?   If so, now is a good time to change.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Proverbs 3:5-6
