Remembering God Is Always There To Assist In Times Of Need

When someone assists you, they give you help and support.    An assist in basketball means that a teammate passes the ball to another and helps them in scoring the goal.   In other words, they are assisting them in making the basket.    Understand, you are not walking this walk of life alone.  God is here and He is ready, willing, and able to assist you in reaching every goal that is set before you.   When you try to go through life on your own, without any assistance from God, you get tired, weary, and weak.    The Bible says that He is your help in times of need.    It also says in Isaiah 41:10 that we are not to fear or be dismayed because God will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us.

Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

You have to remember that God is always there to help.   He never leaves us to walk through life alone.    He is an ever ready help in our times of need.    All He wants is for us to call on Him, to call out to Him, and to wait on Him.    It’s time to stop looking to people, places, and things to help when we are need of deliverance.   We have to look to God because He is the source and the supplier of life.

What Do You Do When You Just Don't Know What To Do?

What do you do when you faith is tried?   When the sickness doesn’t seem to be leaving your body?   When the money you need doesn’t seem to be coming in?   When the people you thought were with you, are no longer around?   When you are tired?   When you just don’t know what to do … WHAT DO YOU DO?

Do you stand in faith or walk in fear?   Do trust God beyond what you can see?   Do you worship God and wait on God?   Do you believe God will “still” honor His Word in your life?   Or do you quit, give up, and give in?   WHAT DO YOU DO?

The Bible says in Hebrews that faith “is” the “substance” of the things you hope for and the “evidence” of the things you cannot see.    So if you have faith, you have substance and you have evidence.   However, if you are walking in fear and doubt, you lack substance and you lack evidence.   Hebrews 11 goes on to say that it was “through” faith that the worlds were framed by the “word” of God so that the things which are seen were NOT made of things which do appear.   We keep looking at what we can see with our eyes and God has already shown us that faith works based on His Word and not the things we can see in the natural.    So as you consider what to do … make sure you are trusting and speaking God’s Word as you walk in faith.    It is your faith and God’s Word that will bring those things that do not exist in your life into existence.

Acknowledging The Fact That Our Faith, Hope, and Trust Are In God's Word So That Others Can Also Trust Him and Gain Strength

Have there been times in your life when someone comes up to you and ask you how you are doing and your response to their question has been, I’m holding on or I’m hanging in there.    Question is, what are you holding on to and what are you hanging on?    Are you holding on to God’s hand and are you hanging on to His Word?   Are you trusting Him in every aspect of your life?   Is He the source of your hope?

There are times when we try to do it all on our own.   We think about what we can do to get things done in our lives.   We think about how we can accomplish the task or get the money and we fail to incorporate the power and the provision of God.    We fail to go to Him and to ask Him for help during our times of trouble.   Even when we ask for help, are we waiting for Him to provide the things we have asked Him for.

Instead of saying I’m holding on or I’m hanging in there, we have to begin to confess the fact that we are trusting and believing God to move in our lives.    We need to acknowledge the fact that our faith, hope, and trust are in God’s Word.    We have to understand that by doing so, it not only acknowledges who our hope is in, it also encourages others to also place their faith, hope, and trust also in God.

Understanding That Our Words Carry Within Them Supernatural Power

Words…
Words are simple to say and yet they carry within them supernatural power.  Supernatural power is a power that goes beyond our understanding.    Words are easy to say but they can never be taken back.   Once they are released from your mouth, they are “set” in the atmosphere.   When something is set, it is established as a record.   When words are spoken to people, they record them in their hearts and their minds.     We have to be conscious of what we say and how we say it.

When we take the time to write a letter or to write a note on a piece of paper, we take the time to think about what we want to say.   We have to start using the same process of thinking before we speak.   We have to stop and make sure we are conveying the right message through our spoken words.   We have to realize that the message is still be written down on the hearts of those to whom we are speaking.

Are You "Looking Forward" With Expectancy or With Fear? When You Look Towards The Future, Look Forward With Hope and Expectancy ...

Every day we have a new opportunity to praise God.   We have a chance to thank Him for what He has done and a new day to walk in expectancy for what we need Him to do in our lives.    When you expect something, you take it into consideration and you look forward to it happening.   Understand, when you are “looking forward” to something happening, you are looking into the future and not at the past or what you are currently going through.

What are you looking forward to happening in your life?  Are you expecting God to move in your life or are you walking in fear concerning what you think might happen in your life.  We have to understand that we can expect things with an attitude of hope or we can expect them with an attitude of fear.    When you have hope, you have confidence and trust.   Whereas, when you walk in fear, there is apprehension and doubt.   The Bible tells us in Isaiah 41, to “fear not” for God is with us.    It also tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, that God has not given us a spirit of fear.    We have to be like it says in Philippians 1:6, CONFIDENT.   For it we have to know that He that began a good work in us is faithful to complete it.

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Are You Waiting For God To Change You or Are You Willing To Change For God?

What are you waiting for?  Are you waiting for God to change you or are you willing to change for God.    The choice is yours.   God will change your situation when you make the choice to change your actions and attitudes for God.    Obedience is not always easy.    The world is filled with things that appeal to your outer man, your flesh.   However, you have to choose to live by the conviction of your inner man, the Holy Spirit.   We have to understand what the Bible says in John 16.

John 16:8-11King James Version (KJV)And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:Of sin, because they believe not on me;10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

We have to understand that God has given us His Spirit so that we can be enlightened concerning His will, His Word, and His way.    However, we must choose to led by His Spirit and not the desires of our flesh.  Today is a good day for change to take place.   A good day to choose to allow God to be the leading force in your life.    Although Jesus' flesh was crucified on the cross, He remained alive spiritually.   We also must learn how to crucify our flesh and to live by and be led by the Spirit.

It's Time To Stop Backtracking Trying To Figure Out What You Should Have Done So That You Can Move Forward and Experience The Newness God Has For You ...

Why are you going backwards?  Why are you back tracking and trying to figure out what you should have done?   Yesterday is gone.   It's over.   It's time to move forward with God.  It's time to raise your expectation for your "future" and to stop deliberating and debating over your past.    You have to understand that "hope and expectation" relates to what is ahead of you and not behind you.   Let your past be a lesson learned so that it can help you make the right choices concerning your future steps and direction.

It's time to let go of those things that are tugging on your and trying to pull you backwards.   Those things that are trying to take you back to what you "used" to do.   It's time to hold on tight to God and His Word so that you can experience newness in your life.  God is a God of hope and expectation.   Move forward hoping and expecting Him to bring about a change in your life.

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
