Are You Allowing Someone Else's Pain To Become Your Mission In Life?

Are you letting someone else's experience and pain become your mission in life?   Are you living in the "just because"?   Just because someone else is hurt, you are hurt.   Just because someone else did it, you are doing it.   Just because they can't get along with a person, neither can you?   UNDERSTAND, God did not call you to live in the just because.    We have to learn how to stop allowing another persons issues in life to become our mission in life.

Our mission is our vocation and calling.   We have to understand what it is that God is calling "us" to do and we have to line our lives up accordingly.    God did not call us to fall in sin because someone else is falling in sin.   He did not call us to hate someone because someone else hates them.   He did not call us out of darkness to be entangled over and over again.   He called us to be a follower of Christ  and to be His representative on the earth.

Are you representing Him well?   Are you helping the people that are hurting by letting them know that God has a plan and just as He has forgiven us, we have to learn how to also forgive?   What are you doing with your "well of worship"?   Are you drawing from the well that is within you even when times are hard?

We have to understand our mission in life.   We have to understand that God has called us to follow the example of Jesus and to lead others into a deeper relationship with Him.   We have to know that there are so many people that are looking for a ray of hope and we are the lights that God has set in place to help them find their way.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
James 1:19-21

19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Trusting God NOW ... Letting Go Of Your Past ... and Expecting His Plan To Be Perfected In Your Future

Why now?   Why give up now?   Why quit now?   Why stop doing what God has told you to do now?   Why stop having faith  NOW?

Understand, it is all about what you do right now!   Your past is just that ... your past.   Your future has not come.   The question is, what are you doing in your NOW?

The word now means at the present time or moment.   It is the time represented "after your past" and "before your future".   It's the time that makes a difference in what happens next in your life.

We have to choose to worship God now!   No matter what has happened, don't let it hinder your position of praise.   We have to choose to trust God now!   When You understand that God is our Waymaker, Healer, Comforter, and Provider, it will help you stay in a position of trust.   God said He knows the things we have need of and He said that He will make a way where there appears to be no way.

Trusting God NOW requires you to let go of your past.   It requires to to stop meditating on what didn't work out and to continuously remind yourself that God KNOWS what is best for you.    So don't give up, quit, or stop having faith.   TRUST GOD through the process and know that if you trust Him NOW, His plan for your future will be perfected in your life.

Proverbs 3:5

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

Are You Understanding The Source Of Your Battle and Are You Trusting God To Fight For You?

When we fight our own battles, we fight from the flesh. We allow our emotions to rule and our mouth to reign. When we let God fight our battles, we understand that the battle is spiritual and no matter who we are fighting against, we understand that a spirit is in control. We have to learn how to rest in God.

We have to learn how to cast our care on Him. We have to learn how to walk in the victory that Jesus died for us to have. Instead of fighting a physical battle, we have to learn how to contend in the spirit realm. We have to learn what our position is when things come up against our life. We have to fight from the position of prayer.

So often in life we we want to fight what we can see.   We fight with people.   We fight for our rights.   We fight for our lives.   But eventually we get tired of fighting.   We get to a place where we get weary and that weariness even affects our well doing and that is what the enemy wants.

Understand, victory only comes through God and God has said that the battle has already been won. So the question is, why are you fighting a battle that has already been won?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

2 Chronicles 20:15

King James Version (KJV)

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Deuteronomy 20:4

King James Version (KJV)

For the Lord your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Do You Trust God Enough To Help You Make It To The Finish Line That He Has Prepared For You?

What is it that you are holding on to?  What is it that you just can't seem to let go of?   Why do you think you have to maintain control?   Is it that you just don't trust God enough?

We say we trust God and yet we continuously try to make our own way.  We continuously try to determine which way "we" want to go.   Could it be that God is leading us in another direction and we are choosing to go the way that "we" think feels right?   We have to stop living based on our feelings.   Everything that God has ordained for our lives is on the path that He has chosen and not necessarily the path that we want to take.

God's path does not set aside time where we can walk in intermittent sin.   When something is intermittent, it is sporadic and irregular.   It is broken and it is fragmentary.   We tend to want to make pitstops.   A pitstop is a stop in the pits for servicing and refueling, especially during a race.

The question is, what are we doing when we stop.   What kind of fuel are we putting in?   Are we putting in the fuel of God's Word or are we filling up on something that can eventually hurt us in the long run.   Remember, different fuels are used for different purposes.   We have to fill up on what is going to help us endure  until we get to the finish line that God has prepared for us.   We don't want to breakdown in the process of life.  We need to finish this race well.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

2 Timothy 4:7-8

King James Version (KJV)

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

How To Avoid Unnecessary Stresses In Your Life

What if you tell your child to do something and they choose not to do it?   How would you feel?   What would you do?   It wouldn't lessen your love for your child but it would make you feel somewhat disappointed.   You wouldn't give up on your child but you would try to continue to lead them, guide them, and direct them.

Understand our relationship with God.   He is our Father and He gives us instruction and guidance.   Just like we instruct and guide our children.   It is His hope that we would obey Him in order to avoid some unnecessary stresses in life.    It is our choice as to whether we will obey Him or not.

Some lessons in life have to be taught more than once.   Just as a teacher in a classroom has to sometimes repeat a lesson because the children didn't get the fullness of what was being taught the first time.    In life, we wonder why we have to experience some trials over and over again.   It's primarily because we didn't learn the fullness of what God was trying to teach us the first time.

Life would be so easy if we just learn how to hear God, trust God, and obey God.   However, our innate nature wants to question everything.   When something is innate, it is instinctive and unlearned.    We have to learn how to immediately obey.   We have to not question what God is telling us to do.   We tend to even ask God, if it is Him that is speaking.  One way to ensure that what you are hearing is God is to weigh it by the Word.   If what you are hearing does not line up with the Word of God, then it's not from God.   God cannot go against His Word.  He and His Word are one.

Make it a point today and every day to choose to obey.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Are You Living In A Conscious State Where You Are Continuously Glorifying God With Your Words and Your Actions?

What are you glorifying?   What are you glorifying with your mouth?   What are you glorifying with your actions?   Are you glorifying God in all that you do or are you glorifying your mess?   What is it that you are proud of and highlighting in your life?

To glorify means to describe or represent as admirable.   When something is admirable, it is praiseworthy.   It is supposed to be worthy of your praise.   When you praise something, you speak highly of it and you applaud it.   What is it in your life that you are speaking highly of?   Are you speaking highly of God and how you trust Him, believe Him, and trust Him?  Or are you speaking highly of your actions that are not in alignment with His Word, His will, and His way?  We choose the things we applaud and highlight in our lives.

In order to truly glorify God, we have to stay in a conscious state.  A state where we are constantly aware of what we are saying and what we are doing.   A state where we strive to represent God well.   A state where we are speaking life and living our lives in representation of who God is and constantly thanking Him for what He has done.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Ephesians 5:20

“Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;”

Are You Trying To Maintain Your Life or Are You Trusting God With Your Life?

Are you maintaining your life or trusting God with your life?   To maintain means to preserve, perpetuate, and to continue.   When you trust God with your life, He will preserve you, He will cause perpetual blessings to come upon you, and He will continue to deliver you in every area where you need deliverance.   However, when you try to maintain your own life, you  live your life trying to figure out what to do next.   You worry about self preservation and you seek people rather than God to preserve you in your time of need.    It's time to trust God totally and completely with every part of  your life.

God has told us to trust Him.   He said in Proverbs to trust Him and to lean NOT to our own understanding.    He said in Psalms to trust Him when we are afraid.    He also said that blessed is the man that makes the Lord his trust.   The one thing that we must understand is what it means to trust.

Trust consists of confidence and reliance.   It means to have a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.   Do you firmly believe God?   Are you totally relying on Him?   Do you believe His Word is true?   Do you believe that He is well able to do what He said He would do?   Are you allowing Him and His Word to be your strength when you are weak?    We have to trust God!

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Isaiah 26:3-4

3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on Thee]: because he trusteth in Thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH [is] everlasting strength:

What Is It That Needs To Be Resurrected In Your Life Today?

What is it that you need for God to resurrect in your life today?   Is it your body?   Do you need healing?   Is it your finances?   Are you walking in lack?   Is it your marriage?   Do you need restoration?   What is it?

We have to understand that God is not limited in power or ability.   Jesus was born, He died, and He rose again so that we could live.   Are you living the life that Jesus died for you to have?   Are you walking in faith, knowing and believing that God is well able to bring about the deliverance you need?

It's time to arise and shine so that the glory of the Lord can be seen working in you, for  you, and through you.   It is time to get up from the dead and dry places in your life and to be watered by God's Word.   It's time to move forward in life knowing that Jesus has gone before you and prepared a place for you and no matter what is going on in your day to day life, God is still in control and you win.

It's time to celebrate what God has done.   He sent His Son to die on the cross for us, so that we too could live.    We have to understand God's power and His purpose for our lives.   We have to have faith and trust in God's Word.    We have to surrender every part of our lives to God so that He can bring about whatever resurrection is needed in our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 5:6-11

 King James Version (KJV)

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

God Created You To Be A Holy Tabernacle But Are You Using Your Life As A Multipurpose Room For Sin?

Is your life the devil's playground?   Are you allowing it to be a place of "sport" where the enemy finds amusement in you?    You are God's child and your body is the Holy Spirit's tabernacle.   Understand, a tabernacle is a fixed place of habitation.   It is a meeting place for worship.   The Holy Spirit is in you and He wants to usher you into a place of worship with God.  The question is, are you allowing your life to be a multi-purpose room for the devil?

When something is multipurpose, that means it is used for multiple purposes.   Our lives can be used to glorify God and our lives can be used to glorify the works of the devil.   The choice is ours.    We choose whether we want to be consecrated for the Masters use or whether we want to be used as a vessel for sin.   When something or someone is consecrated, they are set apart for a specific purpose.    Understand, God has purposed you on purpose.   He gave you purpose when He created you but you have to choose to be used for His purpose.

The problem that most of us have is making the choice to be holy, right, and to live pleasing to the Father.   For some reason we pay more attention to mans opinion rather than God's.   For some reason we forget God's intent and passionately pursue the desires of our flesh.   It's time we stop converting our tabernacle into a multi-purpose room that is used for sin.   It's time we start living our lives with the intent of being pleasing to God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

1 Corinthians 6:15-20

King James Version (KJV)

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Are You Ready To Step Up and Out Of Whatever Is Holding You Captive?

Are you ready to step up AND out of whatever is holding you captive?   To step up and out of darkness?  To step up and out of lack and insufficiency?  To step up and out of sickness and disease?   To step and out of worry and doubt?

There are many things that continuously hold us in a low place in life.   The question is, are YOU ready to step and out of it?   Stepping up and out means that you are stepping up to a new level and stepping out of whatever has been holding you captive.   When you are held captive, you are being held within the bounds of something.   We can be held captive by our own thoughts and fears.   There is no stipulation on what can hold you captive but you have to understand and believe that you have been set free.

God has set us free and yet we sometimes choose to stay in a low place in life.   Sometimes people view the low place as a safe place.   The thing about stepping up and out, your life may then be on display because others can then see you and they can see what you do.    But understand, it is not about others seeing you, it is about them seeing what God is doing in and through you.

It's about others seeing that God has delivered you from sin and darkness.   It's about others seeing that God is blessing your obedience.   It's about others seeing that God is a Healer.   Its about you being able to walk in a place where you are free from worry and doubt.

Psalm 34:4
“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

Have You Learned How To Truly Cast Your Care On God or Are You Steadily Carrying Around The Baggage of Life?

What baggage are you carrying?   There are different types of baggage.   There are book bags, tote bags, hand bags, duffle bags, shopping bags, etc.   Different people use different types of bags to sometimes carry the same types of things.    Baggage is baggage.  Baggage can be defined as personal belongings packed in a suitcase or it can be defined as personal experiences that are packed in your heart and mind.   What type of baggage are you carrying in your heart and in your mind?    Are you carrying around the baggage of life?

Have you ever started off carrying a bag and the longer you walked with it, the heavier it seemed to get and the more tedious it became to carry.   That's what we do.   We carry things and we begin to become tired and weary and the load then becomes heavier and heavier to bear.   We need to learn how to truly cast our care on God.

When the Bible tells us to cast our care on God because He cares for us, we need to understand that He wants us to give Him our worries and our anxieties.   Those things that continuously drain us and steal our peace.    God did not create us to carry our the burdens of life.   He created us to trust Him, believe Him, worship Him, and to cast our care on Him.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

1 Peter 5:7

 King James Version (KJV)

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.

Are You Walking In Limited Faith Based On Your Perception Of Your Situation?

Challenges will come.   Change will happen.   There may be times when you are asking God where are you and  there may be times when you think you should have received an answer by now.   But understand, God is limited by what we think.   He is not limited to doing things in our timeframe.  He is an all-seeing and all-knowing God.  He knows what we do not know and He sees what we cannot see.

We have to get to a place of complete trust.   Complete trust in God's Word, His purpose, and His plan.    We have to trust what God is saying, we have to believe that He has a purpose for our lives, and we have to have faith in His plan.

When challenges come in our lives, we have to believe that God knows the things we have need of and because He knows, we have to trust that He will honor His Word that says that He is faithful and just to supply us with what we need.

When we start to feel overwhelmed in life, we have to believe that God will not give us more than we can bear.    God has already told us to cast our care on Him for He cares for us.   We have to learn how to do that.   When the weight of the world is becoming overwhelming in our lives, we have to learn how to cast our care on God.

We also need to always understand that God is not limited to our timeframe.   God knows our past, our present, and what is in store for our future and because He knows, He is well able to do whatever needs to be done in our lives when it needs to be done.   We have to stop trying to limit him based on our perception of our situation.    He knows what we need, when we need it.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Matthew 6:8
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Are You Trusting, Believing, and Waiting on God?

Are  you trusting God to make a way where there appears to be no way?   Are you believing that He can do just what He said?   Are you waiting on Him to honor His Word in your life or are you venturing out and trying to make things happen on your own?    YOU HAVE TO TRUST GOD, BELIEVE GOD, AND WAIT ON GOD if you want to see the salvation of God.

The word salvation means to save, help in distress, rescue, deliver, and to set free.   You have to know that God wants to save you.   He wants to help you in your times of distress.   He wants to rescue you, deliver you, and set you free.     We have to understand the purpose behind God sending His Son Jesus in the earth.   His whole purpose was so that we could experience His salvation.

God's plan for our lives is that we be saved.    He wants us to know that we are overcomers.   We are not defeated and we need to stop living our lives with a mindset of defeat.   We have to remember who the Son set free is free indeed.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

John 8:36

 King James Version (KJV)

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Are You Getting Caught In The Net Of What Everyone Else Is Doing or Are You Trusting God To Do A New Thing For You, In You, and Through You?

Be careful lest you be pulled into the ways of the world. Money is not the mindset God has called you to have. Where you are seeking and chasing "new opportunities" to always increase. Make sure you keep a "God Mindset" and trust Him to bring forth what is needed. People lose their way when they start seeking the money instead of the Kingdom.

Understand, there will be opportunities that "God" will tell you to follow but you can't do something just because its what everyone else is doing.   You have to make sure what you are doing is what God is telling you to do and not what man is encouraging you to do.   You have to have the willpower to say NO.

You have to always remember, God has a plan for YOUR life and His plan for you may  not look like the plan He has for your best  friend, your family, or your other church members.  The gifts He has placed in your life may be totally different from the gifts He has placed on them.    The way He wants to bless you may be totally different from the way He chooses to bless them.   Don't get caught up in the net of what everyone else is doing.   Trust God's Word that says He will do a new thing.   Trust that new thing to be done in, through, and for you.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 43:19

King James Version (KJV)

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Are You Serious About The Things Of God or Are You Halfheartedly Serving Him?

Are you serious?   Are you serious about the things of God?   Are you serious about wanting to serve Him?   Are you serious about wanting to walk upright in Him?   Are you serious?   To be serious means that you are not doing things in a halfhearted manner.   When you do things halfheartedly, you lack heart, you lack spirit, and you lack interest.

When you have an interest about something, you have a desire to do it.   Do you have a desire to serve God wholeheartedly?   Do you desire to live your life in a way that is right and pleasing in His sight?   Do you desire to not only talk the talk but to walk the walk as well?   What is it that you are desiring first and foremost?   Are you desiring to please God or are you still seeking to please the people that are around you?

We have to get serious about the things of God.   We have to be determined to be Godly examples here in the earth.   We have to do our best to live right so that others can see who God is and feel His love radiating from our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Ephesians 6:7
King James Bible
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

New International Version
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
