What Is It That You Want To Do? Are Your Wants In Line With God’s Will?

What is it you want to do?   Do you want to do what is right?   Do you want to please God or do you want to please man?   What you want to do is what you will do.   You have to begin to want God more.

When you want something more you will begin to do whatever it takes to get it.    When you want to please God more, you will begin to cast down the desires of your flesh.   What we tend to do as people is to live by our desires.   We allow our desires to rule and to reign in our lives and we have to understand, there are good desires that lead us down the path of righteousness and there are desires that lead us down the wrong path.   We have to make sure our desire to please God always overrides the desires of our flesh.

When you think about what you want to do, begin to think about what God would want you to do.   After all, it is only in Him that we live, breathe, and have our being.   If it wasn’t for God, we would not even exist.   He placed us here to be His representatives in the earth.    Ask yourself, what are you representing with your words and your actions.   When people see you, do they see the God in you or do they see you in hot pursuit of worldly desires?

Remember to cast down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of who God is and what God would have you do in every situation concerning your life.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

What Does God See When He Sees You? Is He Seeing Your Faithfulness and Trust In Him? Does He See Someone Who Is Seeking Him and Waiting On Him?

When God looks at you, what does He see.   Does He see someone who is faithfully serving Him?   Does He see someone who trusts Him completely?   Does He someone who is seeking Him and waiting on Him to honor His Word in their life?   What does He see?

What He sees is what you portray.    If you are seeking Him, He sees that and He said in HIs Word that if you seek Him, you will find Him.   If you are trusting Him, He sees that and He said in His Word to let your trust be in Him and to lean not to your own understanding.   He said for you to acknowledge Him in all your ways and that He would direct your path.    If you are waiting on Him, He sees that and He said to wait on Him and to be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart.    If you are serving Him, He sees that and He has told us in His Word to serve Him with gladness and to come into His presence with singing in our heart.

God sees all and He knows all things.    He wants us to honor Him with our lives.   After all, He is the giver of life.

Are You Letting What God Said Override and Overturn The Thoughts Of Discouragement That Are Trying To Take Over Your Mind?

You have a choice today.   You can choose to be encouraged or you can let life cause you be discouraged.   Choose to be encouraged today.  Remember, David encouraged himself in the Lord.    Sometimes everything around you can be looking discouraging or speaking discouragement but you have to remember what God has said.   Knowing what God has said empowers you to override and overturn the thoughts of discouragement that will come in life.

When thoughts come that say that you are sick and that you are going to die, you have to remember that God said that He is the God that heals you.   You have to remember that Jesus bore our sickness and took our pain and it is by His stripes that we are healed.

When situations arise in our lives where we just don’t seem to have enough, we have to trust that God said that He knows everything that we have need of and we have to believe that He is faithful and just to give us what we need.

We have to be strong and we have to be courageous.   We have to refuse to allow the the enemy to steal our joy.   We have to rest in what we know God has said and we have to know that He is working every situation in our lives together for our good.      We have to choose to be encouraged and refuse to be discouraged when it comes to the situations in our lives.

Romans 15:4

King James Version (KJV)

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

It’s Mid-February, Are You Still Focused On What You Told God You Would Do For Him?

It’s February 12th and we are about a month and a half into this new year.   How are you doing?   Are you still staying focused on what God said for you to do or are you allowing the distractions in life to get you off task?    Have you been praying?  Understand, your prayers are important.   It is important for you to communicate with God at all times.     Are you walking in the Spirit or are you allowing your flesh to rule and reign in your life?   What are you doing?   Better yet, why are you doing what you are doing?

You have to know that God loves you and because He loves you, He sacrificed HIs Son for you.    The question is, what are you willing to give or give up for Him?   Are you willing to give Him your all?  Are you willing to crucify your flesh in order for His Spirit and His power to be reflected through your life?   What are you willing to do?

If you have lost focus, it’s time to refocus.   If you have forgotten what you promised God that you would do for Him, it’s time to bring it back to your remembrance.    If you have gone astray, it’s time to get back on the right path.

Are You Living A Life Of Complacency or Are You Living Your Life Expecting To See Another Dimension Of Who God Is Here On Earth?

What if you knew today was your last day?   Would you do things differently?  Would you let family and friends know you love them?  Would you live your life in a way that you know if pleasing to God?   Would you try to go places you have never been or would you try to do things you have never done?   What would you do?

Many of us in life have gotten into the habit of being complacent.  To be complacent means to be self-satisfied and content.   We live our lives out of habit instead of expectancy.  Every day that we get up, we need to be expecting God to do something new.   We need to be expecting to see another dimension of who He is in operation in our lives.   We need to live like this so that we can experience the fullness of who God is here on earth.   We don’t know what each day will bring.   We don’t know if we will even get to experience another day.   But if we do ... if God chooses to grace us with another day, we need to be living that day to the fullest in Him.

We need to live each day as though it is our last day.   We need to take every given opportunity to reflect who God is in the earth.   He is love and we need to let our family and friends know that He loves them and we do too.   We need to walk in obedience daily, moment by moment.   We have to stop having sporadic disobedience where we take moments to appease our flesh.   We have to walk in faith and go places we’ve never been in Him.  That means in the physical realm, as well as, in the spiritual realm.   We have to live out loud for God.

What Is It That You Are Stamping Your Seal Of Approval On? Are You Failing To Take A Stand For What You Say You Believe?

What are you stamping your approval on?   A stamp of approval is a commendation.   It says that you not only approve of something, it says that you salute it and you recommend it.   What and who are you saluting?   What and who are you recommending?   Is it God and the things of God or are you saluting what the enemy is doing in and through others and recommending it for fear of what others will say if you disagree.

Disagreeing is never easy.   The norm in the world is to “go with the flow”.   Nobody wants to upset the apple cart.  When you upset the apple cart, you disturb the status quo.   So often in life, people try to maintain the status quo and they fail to progress with God.

Understand, living for God means sometimes you will disagree and you have to stand for what you believe.    Failure to take a stand for God means that you are in essence standing for the world and letting the devil win.   It’s time out for letting the devil win.   We have to take a stand and stand for what God represents and for what we say we believe.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 John 2:15-17
King James Version (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Do You Have Persistence, Determination, and Perseverance When It Comes To The Things Of God?

What in life worth having or doing is easy?   As a baby, we learn how to walk.   We fall, we get up, and we keep going.   In school we learn how to read and write.   We stumble over words but we press forward in order to attain knowledge.   As we grow older we learn how to cook and to drive.   We don’t always get the meals right the first time and we certainly don’t know how to drive correctly the first time we get behind the wheel but we continue to practice so that we can do those things with perfection.   What is it about faith, hope, and trust in God that leads us to believe that it is okay to give up and to quit?

When we look at life and growing up in life, we tend to grow with tenacity.   When you have tenacity, you tend to persist, be determined, and persevere.   You keep going no matter what.   We need to continue in those traits when it comes to walking out our faith.  Why do we give up when it comes to the things of God?

So often we hear people say that it is hard living for God and yes it is.   But it is also hard learning how to walk, getting an education, learning how to cook, and learning how to drive.   The things is, you just have to want to truly do it.   When you truly want a thing, you don’t give up and you don’t quit.   You do what it takes to get what you want.   The question is, do you love and desire God enough to do what it takes to live your life according to His Word, His will, and His way.

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
