Are You Being The Leader God Created You To Be or Are You Just Being Agreeable To Everything Everyone Says and Does?

EVERYTHING is not okay.   You have to distinguish right from wrong and good from bad.    There is a difference.   Being agreeable to everything everyone does is not right and it does not help the world we live in today.   Being agreeable gives no guidance and it gives no direction.   We have to become the leaders that God created us to be.

There are many leaders in many capacities.   Parents are leaders, pastors are leaders, teachers are leaders, and we can be leaders within our peer groups.   The main job of a leader is to give direction.    When we look at the children today, there are noticeable differences in their levels of respect and what they view as right and wrong.    Many of them have not been raised with a distinguishable line that defines right and wrong for them.   Parents of old were very clear.   They were clear about what was right and what was wrong and if you chose what was wrong, they enforced the consequences that came along with making the bad choices.    We have to understand we live and we die by the choices we make and every choice that we make brings with it consequences.

When a baby is born, you wouldn’t leave that baby to fend for itself.   To get up and get their bottle on their own.  You get up and you get what the baby needs.   You feed them, change them, talk to them, and encourage them as they grow to walk and to talk.   Our guidance impacts not only what our children do and how they do it but it also impacts the people and the community around us.   Be the leader God has called you to be and understand, being a leader for God causes you to stand out and to go against the norm.

Deuteronomy 11:19

“And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”

Are You Truly Walking In Love ... Understanding, God Is Love?

What are you holding on to?   Are you keeping records of every time someone has hurt you or did something you didn’t like?   Are you impatient, mean, and envious?   Are you seeking what will bring you pleasure and are you easily angered?   Are you delighting in what is sinful and evil or are you rejoicing in the truth?    What is your picture of love?  Remember, God is love and we need to look to Him to see what true love really is.

How many times have we let our hurt cloud our vision of what love really is.   Unfortunately in this world, people will hurt you.   They will do things without considering what the affect of their actions will be on those around them.   They will act in their flesh not considering the reaction that will soon follow. Don’t be a person who only loves themself.   A person who seeks to please their own flesh and fails to understand what it means to truly love someone.

When you love someone, you are patient with them.   You understand that they are not perfect and neither are you.   You walk in forgiveness and you give others an opportunity to get it right.  Sometimes people will and sometimes they won’t but love allows them the opportunity to do what is right.    Remember love is kind and it is not envious.   Understand, jealousy is not love.   You don’t have to boast and walk in pride when you are walking in love. Love is honorable and it is respectful.   It’s not self-seeking.  Instead, it seeks opportunity to do something for others.    We have to know what love is and we have to walk in it if we want to fulfill God’s plan and purpose in the earth.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
New International Version (NIV)

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

What Do You Do When People Hurt You? Do You Run To God Or From Him?

People will hurt you.  They will say things that will cut you like a knife.   They will break your heart but the question is, what is your response to what people do to you?    Are you letting the hurt and pain that you feel inside cause you to turn your back on God?   Are you running from God because of what people do or are you running to Him.

God is a good God and He has given each of us the power of choice.   What we do is up to us.   We can love people and help people or we can hurt them.   The things is, sometimes people don’t realize that they have hurt someone until the damage is already done.

Even when you have been hurt in life, you have to know that you are not alone.   You have to know that God is the Healer.   You have to know that He is ready and willing to comfort you and to keep you.   You have to know how to run to God instead of running away from Him because of something that someone else did.

Take time today to talk to God about the hurt and pain that you have been carrying around in side.   Let God comfort you, keep you, shield you, protect you, and heal you from the inside out.

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Are You Sitting Silently Allowing The Enemy To Wreak Havoc In Your Life or Are You Using The Power That God Has Entrusted You With?

Are you trying to live like you don’t have an adversary?   The Bible says that the devil walks about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.   The word devour means to devastate, ruin, and to destroy completely.    What is it that is attacking your life and trying to take you out and destroy you?   What is coming up against you in life and causing you to be in worry and doubt?    Understand, you have the power within you to fight back.

Are you using your words to fight back?   Are you speaking life to your life?   Are you binding up the works of the enemy and releasing the power of God through your words?   It’s time to stop sitting silent!   Understand the power that is resident in your tongue.    In James 3:5, the Bible talks about the tongue being a small part of the body and yet it has within it the power of life and death.   So speak life to your life!

In order to truly speak life to your life, you must know what God has said about your life.    You must understand the power that God has entrusted you with.   We know that God created the heavens and the earth with words and He has now given us the ability to use our words to create as well.   So don’t sit silently as the devil wreaks havoc in your life.   God’s Holy Spirit dwells on the inside of you and God has given you the ability to bind, rebuke, and to speak into existence those things that be not as though they were.

James 3:5
King James Version (KJV)

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

Are You Feeling Stuck In Life Because You Can’t See How God Is Going To Do What Needs To Be Done?

Who or what is limiting your view?   Have you gotten stuck behind an obstacle?   Has someone said something to you that has caused you to wonder whether or not God can or will move in your situation?    God is a good God and He is limitless.

So often in life we get stuck not just physically but we also get stuck mentally.   We get stuck in a place where we just can’t seem to see our breakthrough.    We have to remember, faith is believing in what you cannot see.   So we have to stay in a place where we live by faith.   Even though we don’t see things happening in the natural, we have to trust and believe that God will make them happen.

You have to understand, just because you can’t see something happening, that doesn’t mean its not taking place.   Think about a woman carrying a child.   You can’t see on the outside the details of the growth that is taking place on the inside.   You can see the outward growth of her stomach but you can’t see the inward growth that is taking place until the “set time” of the baby’s birth.    The flesh (her stomach) is limiting your view of the creative work that God is doing on the inside of her womb.

So understand, just because you can’t see what God is doing, doesn’t mean He is not doing it.    Obstacles will come and it’s hard to see beyond our flesh but we have to keep a spiritual perspective.    In other words, we have to have a spiritual point of view that knows and sees beyond the natural.   A point of view that knows God can and will do whatever needs to be done in our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Hebrews 11:1
King James Version (KJV)
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Are You Living Your Life In A Way That Brings Pleasure To God or To Man?

So often in life we give our all to people.   We love them beyond measure.   We sacrifice our time, our money, and our energy on them.   We go above and beyond to prove our love to them  and many times we continue to do those things even when they hurt us and misuse us.    We seek to please men and women on the earth in all that we do and yet we find it difficult to live our lives in a way where we are seeking to please God.

We have to get it right.   We want to do what we can for others and treat them well but God should be our priority.   We should be seeking to please Him in all that we do.    If what we are doing for others is not pleasing to God, it has no Kingdom value.   We should be seeking to please God in all that we do and say.    That includes our relationships with other people.

God is a good God and He is faithful to us.  He faithfully watches over us and faithfully keeps us in all that we do.   He changes not and if we honor Him with our lives, He will honor His Word in our lives.    We have to make sure that we keep God first.   We can’t seek to please man and displease God in the process.

Take time today to evaluate your life and your lifestyle.   Make sure your actions are pleasing to the Father and not just to the people that are around you.   Make today about evaluating and eliminating.   Evaluate your actions and commit to change.   Change whatever you know is not pleasing to the Father.    Understand, to eliminate means to remove, get rid of, terminate, eradicate, and end something.   God is the giver of life but it is up to us to represent Him well with our lives.   It is up to us to make sure we are a living a lifestyle that is pleasing to Him and that is outlined in His Word.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Galatians 1:10

“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

What Is It That You Are Looking Forward To In Life?

So what are you looking forward to?   Are you looking forward and keeping your eyes stayed on God?  When you look forward, you are not looking behind you.  You are looking into the future with hope and anticipation.   You will live your life in expectation for the things that you want God to do for you.

God is a good God.   He is an awesome Heavenly Father.   He loves us and He wants us to live in expectancy for the things He has promised to do.    We have to stop living looking through the rear view mirror of our lives.   So many people stay focused on and want what they “had” instead of having hope and anticipation in what God can and will do now.

In our past we have had good experiences and bad but our past doesn’t determine our future.   So make sure today, your hope is in God.   Make sure you are expecting Him to make a way for you.   Make sure your trust is in Him and His Word.   Don’t lose focus by looking behind you.  Keep your eyes stayed on Him.

Psalms 62:5

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”

Are You Trying To Live Life Your Way or Are You Trusting What God Has Said?

Things are changing and the question is, are you ready for the change that is taking place in the earth?    Where is your heart?   Do you have a heart for God?   Are you seeking to please Him in everything you do and say or is your desire to please the people around you?

We have to get to the point where we are rooted and grounded in the things of God.   We have to take a stand and stick with it.   We have to know that we know that God is good and we have to keep our faith, hope, and trust in Him no matter what.

Have you ever warned your children not to do something and told them what would happen if they did and yet they did it anyway.    That is how God is with us.   He tells us what to do and what not to do and yet many of us tend to try it our own way.   It’s not that we don’t know what He said for us to do, it’s just that we ignore what He said based on our desire to do things our way.

As I said earlier, things are changing.   This world is changing.   God has already told us in His Word that this was going to happen.   Now we have to trust and obey His Word so that we can have eternal life with Him.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 Corinthians 15:58

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
