Are You Focusing In On The Problem or The Promise? You Have To Know The Benefits You Are Entitled To According To God's Word ...

Who God is does not change because of what you are going through.  God is still God.   He is still Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.   He is still Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.   He is still El Shaddai, God Almighty.   We make the mistake of not acknowledging who God is when we are going through situations in our lives instead of highlighting who He is while we are going through.

We have to begin to stay focused on who God is and what He has promised to do in, through, and for us.   We have to remember that in our weakness, God has already said He is strong.   When we go through sickness in our body, we have to know and believe that He is Jehovah Rapha, our Healer.

The Bible tells us to "forget NOT" all of His benefits.   A benefit is something that is advantageous or good.   It is a payment or a gift.   There are many benefits that God has given us in life.   When we are searching for a job, one of the first questions we ask a potential employer is "what are the benefits".   We seek them out and we learn about them so when situations occur in our lives, we know what we are entitled to.   We should be doing the same thing with the benefits of God.   We should be seeking what God has said we are entitled to in His Word so that when situations occur in our lives, we know what to do in order to receive the benefits we are entitled to per our benefit manual which is the Bible.

So instead of focusing in on the problems that tend to be occurring in your life, focus in on the promises that God has given you concerning your life.    Know the benefits you are entitled to according to God's Word.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Psalm 103:1-5
King James Version (KJV)
103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

Are You Becoming Frustrated While You Are Waiting On God To Fulfill His Promises In Your Life?

What is the change that you are looking for?   What is it that you are expecting or asking God to do for you?   What is it that you see and that you are saying that you need?   Whatever it is, is it in line with God's Word and His will?   If so, are you waiting patiently for it or are you becoming frustrated because of the amount of time its taking to get to you?

In life, it's easy to become frustrated.    Frustration is a feeling of anger or annoyance because you are unable to do or accomplish something.   The question is, who are you angry (or frustrated) with?   Are you angry with God because of the trial you are experiencing or the delay that seems to be taking place?   One of the hardest things to do is to continue to walk in joy even in the midst of what tends to be a struggle.

Understanding that, you have to know that the only way you can walk in joy in the midst of your struggle is when you already know the outcome.    A woman who is having a baby can endure the pain of her labor because she has an expected outcome.    It's not that she wants to go through the pain, however, she knows if she does go through, she will receive the precious gift of a child when it is over.    God said in his Word that He has a plan for us and that plan gives us hope, a future, and an expected end.

We have to make sure we stay focused on the promises of God in the midst of everything we go through in life.   Knowing what God has promised will help you get through anything that you are going through in this life.    Not only has God promised us a hope, future, and expected end  ... He has promised us ETERNAL LIFE!

I John 2:25

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life

Are You Seeing God As More Than Enough When It Comes To The Things You Need In Life?

God's Grace Is Sufficient!

We have to understand that the word sufficient means that it is adequate for the purpose and enough.    When something is not enough, it is unsatisfactory, it is found wanting, and it is inadequate.   That's not God.   God is more than enough and our satisfaction should always be found in Him.   There is nothing inadequate or unsuitable about our Father.    The real questions is, what are we trying to find satisfaction in?

It is only when we try to do things according to our own will and in our own way that we come up short.   We were never created to live or to do anything without God.   For God is El Shaddai, the ALL SUFFICIENT ONE.

We have to learn how to seek Him.   In life it is easy to put a lot of effort in seeking people, places, or things.   Mainly because they are noticeable and can be seen.   In essence we tend to place our affection and desires on those things we can see instead of on the One we cannot see.    We have to understand that without God we would be nothing, nor could we have anything.

Stay focused on God and always remember that His grace is sufficient for whatever we need in life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
2 Corinthians 12:9
King James Version (KJV)
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
