Sometimes our lives can take hard blows. There are times when we will experience shock and there are times when things will be strenuous. It all boils down to how do we handle the pressures of life. How do we handle the hard blows? Those things that are unexpected and that seem to take the life out of us. How do we handle the strain and the pressure that comes with sickness, disease, and lack? Are we entering into a place of peace knowing that God has promised to take care of us or are we walking in worry, doubt, and disbelief? How are we handling losing loved ones or people turning their back on us? Are we truly surrendering all to God or are we allowing these situations in our lives to break us and to inflict us to the point where we have open wounds?
The thing about some wounds is that even after the wound has healed, there is a scar that is a constant reminder of the hurt and the pain that you experienced. A scar is a mark or indicator that something has happened. It "marks the spot" and reminds you of the situation.
In the natural, there are creams and remedies that can be applied to try to reduce the appearance of a scar. We have to understand that in order for us to heal without scars from the hurt in our lives, we have to apply God's Word. We have to trust Him to heal us completely and to take away the constant reminders of our pain.
SCRIPTURE MEDITATIONPsalms 71:20-21You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again. You will increase my greatness and comfort me again
