What Are You Doing When You Feel Broken? Are You Asking God To Mend The Broken Pieces Of Your Life and To Make You Whole Again?

What do you do when you are broken.   When something is broken, it haas been damaged and is no long in one piece where it works perfectly together.  Some things may work on it but it is not in the original form that it was created to be.

We all have experienced brokenness in one way or another.   Whether it be broken things, broken relationships, or heart breaks.    Brokenness cannot always be avoided but understand, when a vessel is broken, you can clearly see what is on the inside.

Sometimes our brokenness allows us to see what is truly operating in our lives.   It allows us to see if we are really trusting God or if we truly believe God.   It allows us to see if we are really standing in faith for what we say we are believing God for.

When something becomes broken we always have the choice as to whether we will throw it out or whether we will put the pieces back together to make it useful again.   What are you doing with your brokenness?   Are you giving up and quitting or are you asking God to mend the broken pieces of your life and to make you whole again?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Psalm 147:3
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Are You Undergirding What You Say You Believe With The Word Of God?

The enemy is always going to challenge your faith.   He is always going to come up against what you say you are believing God to do for you.   The question is, what are you going to do when you are challenged?   Are you going to stand and stay in faith or are you going to give up and quit.   Remember, God has not given up on you, so why should you give up on Him.

A lot of times we lose our faith battle because we fail to undergird what we say we are believing God for with the Word of God.   If we are believing God to heal our body, we need to undergird our belief with what God has said.   He has told us that He is the Lord God that heals.   He has said that Jesus took stripes on His back for our healing.   He said the Son of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.   When we know what God said, it gives us the strength we need to stand and wait for His promises to be fulfilled in our lives.

We can’t keep walking in shallow faith.   When something is shallow,  it has no depth and it is superficial.    Our faith must have depth.   When you look at synonyms for the word depth, you see it says “deepness, wisdom, and understanding”.   When we walk in faith, we need to be walking in depth of God’s Word.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

2 Corinthians 5:7

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

What Is It That You Are Thinking On? Are You Bringing Your Thoughts Under The Submission of The Word of God and Acting According To The Word or Are You Allowing Your Thoughts To Go Astray and Cause You To Submit To The Wickedness In The World?

So what is on your mind today?   What is it that you are thinking about doing?   Are you thinking about how you can worship, praise, and please God or are you thinking about hanging out with the girls or kicking it with the boys tonight so that you can do those things that you “know” are not pleasing to God?   Every action begins with a thought.    What we think about and meditate on become ingrained in us and eventually we play out the actions of what we think.

Playing out what we think is not always the best thing to do.   Our thoughts can lead us astray.   Our thoughts can cause our lives to submit to people, places, and things that are in no way pleasing to God.   There is a reason God said in His Word for us to think on the things that are just, right, and pure.   He told us to cast down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of who He is.    So again I ask, what’s on your mind today?   Is it something you should be casting down or is it something that is just, right, and pure?

Take time to fill your mind with the Word and the wisdom of God.   If you never put the Word on the inside of you, you won’t have the strength or the ability to override the thoughts that go against the Word.  As a matter of fact, you won’t even know how to discern the things of God from the things of the world.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
2 Corinthians 10:5
King James Version (KJV)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Are You Seeking To Find Out What You Can Do For God and Not Just What He Can Do For You?

In life we are so quick to say “God help me”, “God make a way for me”, and “God I need you”.   We even get upset when we can’t see God move when we think we need Him too.   The question for today is what is your response when He asks you to help Him.?  What do you do when He asks you to make a way by yielding your life to Him for His glory to be seen through you?  How do you respond when He tells He needs you because He wants you to be His representative here on earth.

We always tend to look at what we need for God to do for us.   It’s time to flip the script and start living our lives seeking His will and doing things HIs way.   When we do that, we make room for Him to help us and to make a way for us.   He already knows our needs before we ask but we still need to ask Him what it is He wants and needs us to do for Him.

The Bible tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God and everything else will be added.   So we need to take time out to seek God.   We need to seek His ways and walk according to His Word.   We have to understand that there is peace and blessings that only come through our obedience.   After that, we need to rest in Him and know that whatever we have need of in life, He will do it.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Isaiah 48:18 KJV)

(18) O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

Are You Allowing Life To Push You Off Your Stance Of Faith?

What is it that you need God to do for you?   Is it to heal you?   Is it to deliver you?   Is it to strengthen you?   Is it to make a way for you?   Is your need financial?   Is it peace that you need?   Whatever your need is, you have to trust and believe that God can and that God will do whatever is needed.

Do you have fake faith or is your faith authentic?   When your faith is authentic, it will withstand the trials of life.   You won’t be pushed off of what you say you believe when your faith is authentic.   Authentic faith says that God is still able to make a way even when it doesn’t look like it.    Authentic faith is dependent upon God’s promises and does not shift because of the process.    Authentic faith understands that God’s way is not our way and even if things are not working according to our plan, it realizes that God still has a plan and He is working everything together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Don’t let life push you off of your stance of faith.   Fake faith will always fail.   It’s not designed to endure the trials and tribulations of life.    It’s counterfeit!  Which means it’s not genuine.

Don’t give up or go into faith failure when things don’t work the way you expected it to work.   Stay in faith.   Prove the authenticity of your faith by not giving up and by continuing to trust God no matter what.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Romans 4:20

“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;”

To Whom or What Are You Showing Your Allegiance?

You can say you love God and that you trust God but the question is, are your actions lining up with your words?   God is not looking for mere words.   He is looking for our lives and our lifestyles to back up what we are saying.

When you truly love someone, you are committed.  The word commitment means you have dedication and allegiance to that person.   You are loyal and you are faithful to them.   You restrict your actions and you refuse to step out on them.

Just take a moment to think about what it means to be dedicated.   It means to have “single-minded” loyalty and integrity.   That means you are loyal to one and integral concerning your relationship with them.

When you think about allegiance, you think about sovereignty.   You think about dedication to something to which you are bound.    We have to pledge our allegiance to God but we have to do more than just speak words of truth, we have to live out the truth of those words.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

"If a man makes a vow to the LORD, or takes an oath to bind himself with a binding obligation, he shall not violate his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

What Are You Doing With This New Day God Has Given You? Are You Being Still and Knowing That He Is God?

Today is a new day.   God brought you into this day for a reason.   Make up your mind that you are going to represent Him well today and every day from henceforth.   Make up your mind that you are going to trust Him, believe Him, worship Him, and praise Him.   Decide right now that you are going to let go of those things that have hindering your thought process and your forward movement with God.   Understand, God is the “One” that you need most in life.   We tend to hold on to what we can see and fail to understand that God is the only one that can work all things together for our good.   We fail to realize that He is the only “One” that can heal us and deliver us.   We choose to seek after people instead of trusting God to be our source and our supply.

What will you do with this new day God has given you?   Will you be still and know that He is God?   Will you remind Him of His Word where He said that He is the Healer and that He will deliver you?    Will you wait on Him and stop chasing down people to help you?   You have to trust Him to lay it on the hearts of people to help you.

Again, today is a new day and it is the perfect time to begin again in God.   So take a moment to surrender every part of your life to Him.   Surrender means you cease to resist.   It’s time to stop resisting God’s way and to let Him have His way in and through your life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Romans 6:13
King James Version (KJV)

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Are You Still Walking In Fear Even After You Have Seen God Move In Miraculous Ways In Your Life?

How often does God do the miraculous in your life and you turn right around and doubt Him to do whatever else is needed?  We have to learn how to walk in continued trust in God.   We have to know that doubt and fear will come but we have to choose to continue to trust God despite the appearance of our situations.

Take a moment to think about Jesus and the disciples.   Jesus blessed five loaves and two fish and fed over 5,000 people.   After doing so, He sent His disciples to get into a ship and to go to the other side before Him while He sent the multitude away. But while they were in the ship they began to fear because of the wind and the waves.   We have to know when God tells us to do something, we are to fear not when the winds and waves of life come up against us.   Not only did they fear about the wind and the waves, when Jesus began to come to them by walking on the water, they were fearful again.   We have to know that God is not limited on how He will come and deliver us.   We just have to know that He will.

Understand today, that walking in faith means casting down fear.   Nothing in heaven or earth can override the power of God.   He can take our little and multiply it beyond measure, He can deliver us from the storms of life, and He can come to us in ways we never thought possible.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Matthew 14:15-27

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

How Are You Handling Conflict In Your Life? Are You Looking At It Through The Lens Of God’s Word?

How are you handling conflict in your life?   Are you allowing it to make you bitter or are you letting it make you better?   Are you walking in peace and forgiveness or are you walking in hatred and strife?   We choose how we want to handle conflict.   We can’t avoid conflict.   It will come.

We have to monitor what we allow to become embedded in our hearts and minds.   To embed means to plant and to fix firmly.   What are you allowing to become permanently fixed in your heart and your mind?   When something is fixed, it is not easy to move.   In many cases, it takes tools to remove things that are a permanent fixture.   When it comes to hurt, anger, and strife, it will take the tool of God’s Word and His love to uproot and remove those things.

One of the things that conflict brings with it is confrontation.   Confrontation means you have opposition and you are coming face to face with something or someone you are not in total agreement with.   How do you handle that?   You need to make sure that you are handling all confrontation in your life through the “lens” of God’s Word.   A lens is something you look through that brings light, magnifies, and corrects defects.   So a lens in essence will help you to see more clearly.   Again, make sure you look at every situation in your life through the “lens of God’s Word” so that you can see clearly how to handle your situation in the way that God would have you to handle it.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Psalm 119:18
King James Version (KJV)
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Ephesians 1:18-19
King James Version (KJV)
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power

Are You Dependent On Your Potential or God’s Power?

You have potential but God has power.   Are you relying on your potential or are you trusting in God’s power to do whatever needs to be done in your life.    So often life we look at what we think we can do but what we have to understand is the fact that we can do nothing without God empowering us to do it.   He is the very air that we breathe.   So understand, breathing would be impossible without God.

The word potential means “existing in possibility”.   The Bible tells us that “all things are possible with God”.   It says in Luke that “with God, nothing shall be impossible”.   It also says that “the things that are impossible with men are possible with God”.    We have to live our lives in faith in the realm of possibility that only exists with God.    We have to know that we know that any and everything is possible with God.

So it’s time to stop being dependent on our potential.   It’s time we know, see, and understand that we are totally dependent on God.  Without Him, we could do nothing or be nothing.   Our very existence is dependent on Him.  So take a moment and surrender your all.   Surrender your mindset and keep your “mind set” on Him.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Luke 1:37 - For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Mark 10:27 - And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men [it is] impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Mark 9:23 - Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth

Are You Allowing The Fear Of Man and What They Think Of You To Regulate Your Life?

Are you worried about what people will think?   Understand, your testimony is not their testimony.   The path you have had to take to get to where you are is not the path someone else may be walking.   You have to stop living your life based on other peoples opinion of you.   You have to live your life for the audience of One.  That One being God.

When you live your life for the Audience of One, you understand that God is your source, your supply, and your judge.   People can be judgmental.   They have their opinions and they try to use their opinions to rule and regulate your actions.    You can’t be regulated by what someone else feels or says.    To regulate means to control or direct.   You shouldn’t allow your life to be controlled and directed by what another person thinks of you or what you have been through.   God is your keeper and He is your source.   He is the one to whom we all are accountable.

It’s time for you to understand that God is a loving, just, and forgiving God.    What people judge you on, God forgives you on.   You can’t live your life in shame.  Others may not have done what you did but no one is perfect and sin is just that, sin.   People try to categorize sin to make one sin greater than another but again, sin is just that, sin.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Proverbs 29:25
King James Version (KJV)
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

Hebrews 13:6-8
King James Version (KJV)
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Are You Going Backwards, Forwards, or Are You Trying To Stand Still?

Where do you go from here?   Do you go backwards, forwards, or are you trying to stand still?   If you are trying to go back to the way things “used to be”, you are going backwards.   If you are trying to “keep everything just the way it is”, you are trying to stand still.   If you are “hopeful and living in expectation”, you are ready to move forward with God.

God said in His Word that He knows the “plans” He has for us.   Plans are for future endeavors.    A plan is decided on and made in advance.   It is a design for something to be built and/or to make something happen.   Just think about it.  God has a plan in place for your life.   He has a design for how He wants your life to be built and for what He make happen in your life.   Not only that, He has said that His plan is so that you will have hope, a future, and an expected end.   Remember, a plan outlines a design and it also shows you the end result.

Understand, your past is your past, your present is your present, and your future is your future.   Don’t get stuck in your past or your present.   Have hope and expectation for what God has promised for your future.   Keep moving forward with God.   Don’t allow life or the situations in your life to keep you from experiencing the best that is yet to come in your future.   God has a plan and you have to trust Him to take you through whatever you are going through in order to get you to what He has promised you.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Ephesians 2:10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Jeremiah 1:5 - Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations

Are You Seeking God First or Are You Being Moved By The Distractions Of Life

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and to lose his soul?   This leads to the question, “what are you seeking”?   Are you seeking the things of the world are you seeking God?   It’s just that simple.   We have to understand, only seeking God leads to life everlasting.   Where people get confused is when they start to seek the things in this world instead of seeking the God who created this world.   They don’t seek the giver, instead they seek the gifts.

God has already told us to seek Him first.   He said to seek Him while He may be found.   He said that to remind us that everything else comes when we seek Him first.

It’s time to stop being moved by the distractions of life.   We can’t be moved by the new house or the fancy car.   We can’t be moved by how much money is in our bank account.   These things are nice things but they tend to redirect our attention.    Many people stop looking to God because they are looking at stuff.   Don’t let that be you.   Keep your eyes stayed on God and He will cause His blessings to chase after you instead of you chasing after them.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Isaiah 55:6
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Are You Surrounding Yourself With Negativity or Are You Counteracting Negativity With The Word?

Have you ever been around people and everything they say is negative?   Those people who can’t see anything good no matter how hard they look.   Those people who tend to murmur and complain about any and everything.   The ones who find something wrong in every situation concerning their lives.   What do you do when you are around those type of people?   Do you murmur and complain with them?   Do you still their words by counteracting them with the Word of God?   Do you ask them to be quiet and explain to them the power of their words?   Or do you just listen and allow the negativity of their words to rest in your Spirit?

It’s time to quiet the enemy.   It’s time to counteract what the enemy is saying by saying what God has said.   It’s time to remind people that the Bible says that the joy of the Lord is their strength and if you are the person who tends to live their life being negative, its time to arise and shine and to understand that God is with you and anything that is going wrong in your life is subject to change based on God’s ability and not your own.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

James 5:9 - Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

1 Peter 4:9 - Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 - In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Do You Understand That You Are Not A Byproduct? You Have To Know That God Created You On Purpose With Purpose!

Do you realize who you are in and to God?   God created you intentionally and on purpose.   You are not a mistake.   You are not a byproduct.   A byproduct is a secondary result, it is something that is unintended but inevitably produced.   That’s not you.   God knew what He was doing when He created you.   He made each of us on purpose with an intended purpose.

Are you living your life in a forgetful state?   A state where you fail to remember that you belong to God.   A state where you “do what you want when you want”.   A state where your flesh overrides what you know you should be doing spiritually.    A state where you forget that it is only in God that we live, breathe, and have our being.

It’s time to wake up from our sleepy forgetful state.   It’s time to realize who we are in God and we have to remember that it is only because of Him we are here.   It’s time to live like we know that God put us here on purpose with His purpose in mind.   It’s time to remember, we belong to God and live our lives in representation of who He.   The time is now and the question is what will you do with this time that God has given you here on earth?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

What Are You Doing When You Don’t Know What To Do?

So what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you still trust God?   Do you wait on Him?  Do you allow Him the time to show you what to do next?

We are such busy people and we live in a microwave society.   A society that says “I want it now”.  A society that doesn’t know the meaning of waiting patiently for anything.    We have to change.   We have to get to a place of patiently waiting on God.

It’s time to be still and to know that God is God.   It’s time to trust Him completely.   It’s time to stop trying to make things happen and it’s time to wait on God and trust Him to truly work things together for your good.

In life things happen that we have no control over.    Change tends to come right when we get comfortable with our current situation or circumstance.   We have to know that nothing in our lives is a surprise to God.  We have to trust God and learn how to adapt to the changes in our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Psalm 27:14

King James Version (KJV)

14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
