How are you handling conflict in your life? Are you allowing it to make you bitter or are you letting it make you better? Are you walking in peace and forgiveness or are you walking in hatred and strife? We choose how we want to handle conflict. We can’t avoid conflict. It will come.
We have to monitor what we allow to become embedded in our hearts and minds. To embed means to plant and to fix firmly. What are you allowing to become permanently fixed in your heart and your mind? When something is fixed, it is not easy to move. In many cases, it takes tools to remove things that are a permanent fixture. When it comes to hurt, anger, and strife, it will take the tool of God’s Word and His love to uproot and remove those things.
One of the things that conflict brings with it is confrontation. Confrontation means you have opposition and you are coming face to face with something or someone you are not in total agreement with. How do you handle that? You need to make sure that you are handling all confrontation in your life through the “lens” of God’s Word. A lens is something you look through that brings light, magnifies, and corrects defects. So a lens in essence will help you to see more clearly. Again, make sure you look at every situation in your life through the “lens of God’s Word” so that you can see clearly how to handle your situation in the way that God would have you to handle it.
