What is it that you want God to do for you? Are you asking Him to heal you? Are you asking Him to strengthen you? Are you asking Him to deliver you? Are you asking Him to meet a need? What is it and my next question is, are you asking in faith?
When we ask God in faith, we ask “trusting and believing” that He will do whatever it is we need to be done, as long as, it is in line with His Word and His will. The Bible talks about asking God for things “amiss”. When something is amiss, it’s not quite right. It is wrong, out of order, and carries within it the wrong motive. We need to ask ourselves when we pray and ask God for anything, what is our motive. What is it that is motivating us to ask God what we are asking for. We also need to make sure that our hearts intentions are right. What is it that we intend on doing once God answers our prayers.
God is a good God and His ears are open to our prayers. We just need to make sure are prayers and our hearts are both inline with His Word. We need to come boldly to His throne of grace, we need to ask and receive His forgiveness, and we need trust and believe that He will not only hear our cry but answer when we cry out to Him.
