What Foundation Are You Standing On? Are You Standing On The Firm Foundation Of God’s Word?

God’s Word stands and you just have to take a stand on God’s Word.   What is it that you have been standing on?  Not only that, what are you standing for?   Are you standing for the truth or are you allowing your life to be shaken by the ways of the world which is causing you to step over and stand for untruth and the ways of the world?   Think about it.   Where we place our feet when we stand does matter.    We can on solid ground or we can stand in sinking sand.

Make up in your mind that you are going to stand for truth and not lies.   Make up in your mind that you are going to stand for good and not evil.   Make up in your mind that you will stand on the firm foundation of God’s Word which is His truth and not the world’s truth.   The world’s truth lacks accountability.   It is based on emotion and whatever appeals to the flesh.   God’s truth is based on His Word and His promises.   It is much better to stand on the promises of God than the desires of the flesh.

As you step out today make sure you are taking a stand for God.  Let your foundation be seen.  Let it be sure.   Don’t be moved by the ways of the world.  Be steadfast and unmovable.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

1 Corinthians 15:58

King James Version (KJV)

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Are You Walking In Self Reliance Or Is Your Reliance On God?

You have to trust, believe, and know that God has not left you alone.   You have to know that God is your Father and He knows exactly what you have need of.   You have to trust and believe that He is a good Father and because He knows the need, He will meet you at your point of need.

What do you do when you know your child has a need and you have the means to meet the need?  If your child has been good and has done all that you have asked them to do, why wouldn’t you meet their need?   How much more would God honor your willingness and obedience.   You have to remember God said in His Word that He is watching over His Word to perform it in our lives.

We have to start trusting God and stop relying on what we can do in and by ourselves.   We have to learn how to wait on Him to do His perfect work in our situations.   It can be hard waiting on God but we have to learn how to be patient.  We must build our stamina and learn how to endure like a good soldier.

Understand, God loves you and it is His desire to honor His Word in your life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Matthew 6:8
King James Version (KJV)

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask Him.

Are You Trusting God and His Word No Matter What Your Emotions and Feelings Are Telling You?

What happens next is up to you.  Will you stand and stay in faith or will you give up on what you said you believed God would do?    Faith is not easy.   It’s not easy to put your trust in what you cannot see.   It is not easy to believe when everything seems to be going against what you are believing for.    It’s not easy to be still and wait on God and yet that is what faith requires you to do.

You have to look beyond this natural realm in order  to stay in faith.   You have to trust beyond what your emotions and feelings are telling you in order to stay in faith.   You have to wait on the timing of God even when you feel like to you need things to happen right now.

God is a good God and He is a faithful God.   He honors His Word and our obedience.   Don’t forget that key.   Our obedience is the key to Him honoring His Word.    So make sure you are walking with Him, talking to Him, waiting on Him, and obeying Him.   Make sure that your trust in God overrides the worry, the pain, and any other situations that is arising in your life.

Let the next thing you do be in line with you staying in faith.   Let it be that you trust God no matter what is going on in your life.   Let it be acts of obedience that show that your honor God with your life so that He can bless your life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Isaiah 1:19-20
King James Version (KJV)
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

20 But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Are You Holding On To The Weights Of Your Past and Allowing Them To Keep You From Experiencing God’s Best For Your Life?

What are you holding on to?   Are you holding on to the hurt and pain of your past?   Are you holding on to the people, places, and things that were a part of your past?   Are you refusing to let go of things that should be in the past?  What is it that you are holding on to?

Weights are heavy and sometimes the “weight” of your past can hinder you, hold you down, and hold you back from stepping into the new and good things God has prepared for your future.    It’s time to let go.   It’s time to move forward.   It’s time to experience the hope and the future that God said in His Word that He has prepared for you.

Sometimes it’s not just about letting go.  We can know we need to let go but we just don’t know how to let go.   When we begin to let go, we begin to walk in the “what if’s” of life and we begin to walk in fear of what will happen next.   So instead of letting go as we know we should, we hold on to what we know.   It become our security blanket instead of trusting God to be our secure covering.

We have to understand, God has a plan for our lives but that plan requires us to trust Him, believe Him, and to walk in faith expecting Him to do good and great things in our lives.   However, we must learn to release the people, places, and things that have become soul ties.   Those things that are attached to our mind, our will, and our emotions.  Those things that have become security for us that we know are not good for us.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Hebrews 12:1
King James Version (KJV)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

What Do You Say When You Don’t Know What To Say? Are You Taking Those Opportunities To Speak Forth What God Has Said?

What do you say when you don’t know what to say?  Do you sit quietly and say nothing or do you take that time to say what God has already said?    It’s okay to be quiet but there are times when your voice needs to be heard speaking the Word of God.

Life can be hard and there are people in your circle of influence that may not know how to handle the hard times in life.   They may not know or understand that God is with them through the good, the bad, and the ugly.   Even if they do know it, sometimes they just need to be reminded of it.

Make sure you are taking time to speak life into your life and into the lives of those around you.   Make sure your voice is being heard speaking forth God’s Words of encouragement.   Remember, what you fill yourself with will be what flows out of you.   So if you get yourself full of God’s Word, it will flow out of you.   If you fill yourself up with other stuff like what’s on television, what’s happening in the news, etc., that is what is going to flow from your lips.

Take time to speak life into your life and the lives of others today and every day.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
John 12:50
King James Version (KJV)

And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Have You Learned How To Wait On The Timing Of God?

Are you waiting on the timing of God?   The time that He has set for things to happen in your life.    The time you think something should happen in your life may not be the “set time” that God has ordained for it to happen.

So often in life we move based on what “we think” and what “we feel”.   God’s timing is not based on our thoughts or our emotions.    He said in His Word that His thoughts are not our thoughts.    So we have to learn how to wait on Him.   Waiting on God requires us to trust Him.   You can’t wait on something if you don’t truly believe that it’s going to happen.    You have to trust what God has said and you have to truly believe that He will bring it to pass.

Understand, God works from the spiritual realm and causes things to be made manifest in this natural realm.   The devil is just the opposite.  His mode of operation is to entice your flesh.   He wants you to live your life based on what you can see and how you feel at any given moment.   That is why we must subdue our flesh and learn how to wait on God.

Remember, God’s timing may not be immediate but God is always on time.   Trust Him, believe Him, and wait on Him.   His plan is perfect and He will perfect everything that concerns your life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Habakkuk 2:3 - For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Are You Allowing The Word Of God To Push Out The Fear That Is Trying To Fill Your Life?

If God be with you, who and what can successfully be against you?   If God said it, do you believe that He will do it?   So often in life we worry.   We worry about the things that are coming up against us in life.   We worry about what people think and what they are saying.  We worry about the bills, our health, our families, and this world.  We have to understand, worry is birthed out of fear and God told us to fear not.

Fearing NOT is not an easy thing to do.   When you have been through so much and you see so much going on in the world, its hard not to be fearful.   But understand that word fearful.   It means to be full of fear.    You have to allow the Word of God to push out the fear that is filling up in your life.

God’s Word is true.    God and His Word are One.   When you fill yourself with God’s Word, you are filling yourself with His power, His peace, His love, and His strength.    These are all things that you need to counteract fear.   Understand, fear has no place in you.  Make sure you casting down even the thoughts of fear so that they will not have time to become planted in your heart and mind to make you become full of fear.

Instead of being fearful or should I say full of fear, be full of faith, which in turn will cause you to be faithful.

SCRIPTURE MEDIATION
2 Timothy 1:7
King James Version (KJV)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
