As I sit here looking out the window, I see where most of the leaves have fallen off the trees. I see the birds flying and I can see the sun coming up and the light from the sun is shining in the midst of the trees. Even though the trees have lost their leaves, they still stand strong and beautiful. Even though its not Spring or Summer, there are still birds flying around and making their abode in the trees and even though the season has changed and there are no longer green leaves on the trees, the sun is still shining.
What are you seeing as you look out of your window of life? Are you just seeing and saying what you don't have anymore. Are you caught on what you feel is missing or have you learned to look at the beauty of what is still there. There may be people who are no longer walking with you but understand, God has never left you. There may be things you used to have in life that you count as lost but understand, God is able to restore what has been lost and give you more. There may be areas in your life where you feel broken and in so much pain but understand, the Bible says that the "Sun of Righteousness" shall arise with healing in His wings and He will take away the brokenness, heal you, and deliver you.
You have to see your life as God sees it. You have to stop looking at the brokenness and look at the Healer. You have to know that He is well able to take care of you and that He will make beauty out of what you see as the ashes of your life.
SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Malachi 4:2
King James Version (KJV)
But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Isaiah 61:1-3
King James Version (KJV)
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
