Who and What Are Controlling Your Actions and Reactions In Life?

What is taking over?   Who and what are you allowing to be in control in your life?   What has priority?  Is your priority God first, your family, and then your friends?  How are you aligning your life?   Is it a life that is in line with God's Word or is it lining up with the works of your flesh?

Don't be deceived!   What you believe and how you live matters.   Don't be the person who thinks that everything is okay because no one else can see what you are doing that is outside of God's Word and His will.   It's not what others see, it's what God sees that matters.   We have to understand the fact that God is omnipresent.   He is everywhere present at the same time.    There is nothing that is hidden from Him and therefore, there are no hidden areas in our lives.

When you think about this life that we are living, you have to remember that life is choice driven.   Every day we have an opportunity to choose and follow God or we can choose to follow the desires of our flesh.   What we choose will show what is taking over in our lives.   It will show who or what we are being controlled by.   It will reveal what is truly our priority.

We have to begin to walk out each day in our lives understanding that our choices matter.    Not only the choices that can be seen by the people around us but the choices that are only seen and known by God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Galatians 5:16-26

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[a]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[b] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
