You have to understand the purpose behind being rooted and grounded. When a tree is rooted and grounded, it helps it to withstand the storms that come against it and when we are rooted and grounded in God, in faith, in love, and in the Word, it will help us to withstand the storms of life.
Take a moment and think about what it means to be anchored, sustained, and resilient. A tree is anchored by its roots. It is sustained by the water and nutrients of the ground. It is resilient to the winds and the rains that come against it and is able to be flexible or should I say move with the flow of the wind but not break. That's how God wants us to be. He wants us to be anchored in His Word so that we can be sustained by His Word, so that when we encounter storms in life, we will be resilient and not break under the pressure that comes with life. Amen

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
