Where Are You Making Your Abode As You Walk Out This Journey Called Life?

Are you living under the curse or dwelling under the covenant and protection of the blood?   Understand a curse is spoken out of anger and annoyance, it is used to inflict punishment on someone or something.    There were people and things that God cursed in the beginning but Jesus came to rescue us from the death that comes with the curse by dying on the cross so that we could have eternal life.

When we look at the Bible we see that the serpent was cursed, Adam was cursed, Cain was cursed, and Eve was cursed.   They were all cursed because of their disobedience but Jesus came to reverse the curse.    He came to shed His blood so that we could live.    He came to be a light so that we could see the way we need to go.   He came to save us from our sins.   He came to deliver us from the curse of sin and death.

We have to decide where we are going to make our abode while we are walking out this journey called life in the earth.   An abode is a temporary place of residence.  Are  we going to abide under the shadow of the Almighty and live our lives in a way that is right in God's sight or are we going to abide in the world as we know it and live according to the worlds standards?

Where we choose to abide is up to us BUT UNDERSTAND, Jesus came so that we could live.   He came so that we would not have to live under the curse.   The blood of Jesus was shed and just as Abel's blood cried out to God from the earth, so does Jesus' blood cry out to God from the earth for us.    There is a covenant and protection that comes with the blood of Jesus.   We have to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.   We have to accept what He did for us, so that we can move from the place of living under the curse to the place of living under the promise.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

I Peter 1:18-19

King James Version

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
