Yes & Amen...

So the Bible says that all the promises of God are yes and amen.   What does that mean to you?  Yes is affirmation....Amen is so be it.  Affirmation is a statement of something declared to be true.   Amen is agreeing with that statement.

So if God tells you the promise and  you agree with what He has said....please understand that the answer is yes....

Does It All Belong To God and Do You Love Him More Than Anything?

The two songs that I posted on the blog today are directly related to where God wants us.  

The first song...."It All Belongs To You"....God wants to hear us say that it all belongs to Him.   Our hearts, our minds, our souls, our love, our lives, the songs we sing, the air we breathe....

Question is....are you willing to surrender it all and turn it all over to Him?

The second song .... "More Than Anything" .... Simple question....do you love God more than anything?   Do you offer him worship in spirit and truth? 

You know this is a day to day walk.  Every day is a new day to see Him and seek Him.   Every day is a new opportunity to let God know that you put Him first and foremost.   Before everything else and everyone else.   If we only realized that we would be nothing or have nothing if it weren't for God.   

Remember....it is in Him that we live, breathe and have our being.   Being is defined as existence.   So it is in Him that we exist....

Take time to let the music minister to you.....

Who Is God To You Today?

Today is the day that God has made....I will rejoice and be glad in it.   When you know who made it all.   The heaven, the trees, the beauty of it all....you can rejoice.   When you know that He is the author and the finisher of all things....you can rejoice.   When you know that He knows all about  you, all about your situation, all about your needs and your desires, you can rejoice.    For God "Is".   He told Moses to tell the people "I Am That I Am".   Try reading it like this...."I Am That" or "That I Am".    Everything that you have need of in your life....God Is.   Trust Him,   Believe Him.   Rely totally on Him.   And you will see the reward of the Lord in your life.   One definition of reward is the act given in recognition of someones behavior.   So let's stand today and let God be "that".  Everything that you need.   

Let's Get Back To Eden

Eden....A Place of Pleasure & Delight.    A Place of Peace.   A Place of Communion With God.   God created a physical dewelling place that was a place of pleasure, delight, peace and communion with Him.    He wants us to get back to that place spiritually.   The thing is, sin has no place in the garden.   Sin always results in separation from God.   Just as Adam and Eve had a choice to partake from the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil .... we still have the same choice today.  Knowledge is gained through experience.   So you can gain knowledge of good and evil, by experiencing both.  The question is, do we choose to dwell in the presence of God and commune with Him and partake of His word or do we choose to step outside of the boundaries of Eden and partake of what the world has to offer?   The things which God has already told us not to choose.  

The same choice that Adam and Eve had in the garden, you still have today.   Will you have to hide because of the choices you make or will you be able to freely walk in the presence of God?

"Question Is..."

I woke up this morning with the song I posted on the page a few days ago in my heart by the Winans.   The lyrics ask 3 questions that we are all presented with at some time or another.  

1)  Will You Ever Leave God?
2)  Will You Do His Will?
3)  When Is Jesus Returning?

In the song they answered all three questions.   "No" they will never leave God, "Yes" they will do His will, and "Soon" Jesus is returning.     We need to be ready to answer if we are asked.   More than that, we need to be committed.   Committed to never leaving God.  Committed to doing His will.   Committed to the "Cause" or should I say "Call" of Christ because Jesus is returning soon.   

Remember today that your life is "All About The Kingdom".   Present your body as a living sacrifice and let everything you do today reflect who God is.  

Processed

One definition of processed is refined.   To be freed from impurities by processing.  To separate the dross.  Those things that are worthless or dangerous to your life.   We have to understand that the tests and the trials are just a part of the process.   It is bringing about a separation.  

God says in Isaiah 48, that He has tried and chosen us in the furnace of affliction.   A furnace is used to produce heat.   To destroy refuse, or should I say garbage, those things that are no longer needed.  And to refine ores.  An ore is a mineral that contains metals that are valuable enough to be mined.   

We need to understand that God sees us as valuable.   He sees what is hidden on the inside of us and wants it to be reflected on the outside.   Remember the furnace is only temporary and God is with you like he was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.   He will never leave you nor forsake you.   He is only refining you to be used for His purpose.  
 

Will You Be A Witness?

How long will you wait?  How long will you trust?   How long will you believe?
It is so easy to give up and quit.   To give in and throw in the towel.   God never said it was going to be easy.   He never said serving Him was going to be easy.    So many times we wonder why we have to go through.   I've come to the conclusion that every trial, every situation, ever circumstance (those things that try to encircle us and take a stand in our lives) are ONLY so that we can help someone else get through.  

Begin to look at your life.   Rather than seeing the problems, see the victories.    Your testimony is the evidence that attests to the fact that God is who He said He is.   God has called us to be a "witness".   People put Him on "trial" everyday.    Can you be called upon to be an "expert witness"?  A witness who has knowledge that is not normally possessed by the average person.  

If God called upon you today, would you be willing to take the "stand" and "testify"of His goodness, grace, and mercy in your life.   There are people who are trying to pass a verdict on whether God is who He says He is.   Your testimony could be the determining factor.

Love Check-Up

How sweet it is to know who God is.   To know His goodness, His grace, His love, and His mercy.   To understand that He loves you without stipulations.  Unconditional Love....Agape.   The love that inspired Jesus to go to the cross.   Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends .... (John 15:13)  The love that is described in I Corinthians 13.  

The love that is patient, kind; that doesn't envy or boast and is not proud; The love that doesn't dishonor others and is not self seeking.   The love that is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrong.   The love that rejoices in the truth and does not delight in evil.   The love that protects, hopes, trusts, and perseveres.  

I think we should all do a love check-up today.   If all the things listed above were a part of a checklist for your love check-up, how would you rate? Are you being patient and kind or are you being envious or boastful?

God loves everyone without stipulation....how about you?

Make worship a part of your day....take time to listen to the worship videos today. 

So Where Do We Go From Here?

Ever had one of those days where you just end up saying what next Lord?   Where do we go from here?  After you've done all that you can do.   After you prayed.   After you have fasted.   After you have sought God in the situation.   You still don't know what to do or where to go.  

It's at those times that all you can do is trust.   Trust that He is who He says He is.   Trust that He knows your situation.   Trust that He will work it out.  

It's at those times you truly learn the meaning of resting.   It is funny .... resting is defined as inactivy, reliance, and confidence.   In other words, stop doing what you are doing in your own self.   Rely on your Creator and be confident that He is faithful to take care of you and your situation. 

Intimacy or Acquaintance? You Choose!

Who is God to you?   Is He just another acquaintance.   Today God has me looking up the word acquaintance.   Someone you have knowledge of but have no deep relationship with.   It can be said to be a surface relationship.   You know those types of relationships you encounter them every day on the job, in school, and it's sad to say....but you even have them in church.   Acquaintances.  

God does not desire to be just an acquaintance.   He is desiring intimacy from us and in order to have intimacy with Him, we have to spend time with Him.   There are many ways to define intimacy.  However, in order to be truly intimate, there are some attributes that need to be present in the relationship. 

Take time to deepen your relationship with God.   How can you love someone that you do not know?    The same holds true concerning trusting Him and being totally committed.   If you never get the knowledge of who He is....you can never see His faithfulness and His commitment to you.   He was so committed to you that He sent His Son to die for you.  

The question is can you do the same?   Can you sacrifice everything in order to have a deeper relationship with Him?   Or are you happy just being His acquaintance?  

God Talking - February 21st - 3:33 AM

If you are faithful ("Full Of Faith"), I can do so much for you.   I can move on your behalf.   I can make the crooked places straight.   I can open up your blind eyes and let you see beyond this natural realm.   If you are faithful.

Instead my people are full of fear.   They are fearful.   They allow the enemy of their mind to constrain them.  To keep Me from fulfilling My word, plan, and purpose for their lives.    They are so consumed with their ownselves that they don't even think about anyone else.    When they do seek me, they seek me for themselves instead of on the behalf of others.  They look and they see a dying world and they still can't get beyond their wants and their desires.

Why won't they trust Me?   Why won't they believe Me?   Why don't they get to know Me and do My will?  When will they understand it has always been about expressing my love and seeing what you can do for someone else.   It has never been about selfishness, it has always been about sacrifice.

Are You A Strong Tree?

The other day I wrote about change.   I asked were you ready for change.  You know change is inevitable when it comes to situations and circumstances.   The only one that I know that does not change is God.   He is unmovable and unshakable, NEVER CHANGING.  I guess that's why it's important that we be rooted in Him.   God had me look up the purpose of the roots on a tree.   Not only is it for the tree to get nourishment, it is also to hold the tree upright so that it can grow towards the sun.   As we are rooted and grounded in God, remember the purpose is so that He can hold us upright and we can grow and develop towards the revelation of His "Son".  

Having strong roots in God is important.   Remember the roots are also the source of nourishment and growth.   If a tree has a strong root system, it won't harm it if it ever has to be transplanted.    It may be times in your life that God calls for change.   It is at those times that your root system has to be strong.   That you have to know where your nourishment comes from.  It is at those times that God will sustain you and help you to get to where you need to be in Him in order to grow successfully.

A strong tree is a source of shade and shelter for those around them.   A strong tree is a source of food for those that are hungry.   A strong tree is a source of beauty.  

God wants us to be a source of comfort, sustenance, and beauty for someone else today.    A tree is never planted for itself, it is always planted for the pleasure of someone else.   

Waiting On God

I think one of the hardest things we have to learn how to do is learning how to "wait on God". We have gotten so used to a fast paced society where we want everything fast. And unfortunately, if it doesn't come as fast as we want it, we think it's not going to happen .. we tend to lose hope and then we give up.  

We need to learn that when we wait, we are saying that "we trust that its going to happen".   We wait for parking spots, we wait in drive thru lines, we wait for things to go on sale .... but for some reason we have a hard time waiting for God to move in the big situations in our lives.   What does that say about us?

It is important that we understand that God knows our hurt, our pain, our disappointment and our needs.   We need to understand that just as we are waiting on God to move in our lives, He is waiting on us to fully trust Him in our situations.  He is waiting to see our "faith".


Faith says....I am "confident" in the "trustworthiness" of God.   In other words, I know God can be trusted with my situation.   It says I don't have to be afraid or even wonder if it's going to be taken care of.   Faith says that there is "no question" and "no doubt" in my heart.   It says that the one in whom I believe is incapable of letting me down.   Faith says that I am taking a stand with God and there is nothing that can move me from that place. 

So the question for today is....
Who is really waiting?  Are you waiting on God or is God waiting on you? 

I read this book years ago.  It is a series of prayers and meditations on waiting on God.   It talks about why we wait, what we wait for, and the blessing that comes in waiting.

What Is Your Belief Rooted In?

We believe based on what we know.   We know based on what we have been taught, our experiences,  or what we expose ourselves to.   How much do you really know about God?  Your faith cannot go beyond your belief.   How can you believe what you do not know?  The reason that God believes in you is because He knows you.   He know the capabilities that He has placed inside of you.   The sad thing is that we don't even know ourselves.  The things that God has put inside of us.   If we did, we would know who God created us to be and what He created us to do.   We would walk in power and authority rather than fear.  

Take some time to get to know God today.  He has already told you what He created you to be like.   He didn't hide it in His Word.   He put it in the first book of the Bible.   He said that you are created in His image and after His likeness.    If you don't take anything else from this .... know that you were created by Greatness for Greatness.   You were created by Him for Him to be like Him.  

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  2 Timothy 2:15

Are You Ready For Change?

So are you ready???
Are you ready for change?
Are you ready to give it all over to God?
Or do you want to keep it all for yourself?

"Trusting God With The Reins"
Allowing God to take us in the direction we need to go.  

Not mapping out your own way or own direction....but truly allowing God to be in control.

It's time.   You say time for what.   God says time for change.  
Time to be who God created you to be.   To do what God created  you to do. 

To get in the proper position.  
No longer bent over....but standing upright where you can stand face to face with God and not be ashamed.

It's time to get real.  It's time to recognize that you are not  your own.   But you are a vessel chosen (hand picked) to be used by God.  

The real question is....will you surrender all to let him use you?
 
Always remember that there are other lives connected to yours and if you are not in position, how can they get in position.  

It's not about me and it's not about you....it's all about fulfilling purpose.

What Is Your Passion

The song for today is "This Is My Passion".....
What is your passion?   Are you telling the world about Jesus?   Or are you passionate about everything else?   We have to get to a place of being passionate for Him.   A place of "passionately pursuing His presence".   In life we are passionate about our husbands, wives, children, friends, jobs, cars, the way we dress, etc.   But are you passionate about Christ?   Are you passionate about the things of God?  Begin to "passionately pursue His presence"......and remember that your pursuit is directly related to your desire.

So what is the object of your desire today?

A New Day

Today is a new day.   It is the day that the Lord has made.   He made it just for us to live in and to enjoy.   I have a friend and He said that when God got through making the days, He blessed them.   So you know what....today is already blessed.   Every day is already blessed.   There are no bad days in God.

My prayer is that that stays with you.  That you understand that no matter what it is the enemy is trying to "pursuade" you to believe today....today is already blessed.   We must choose to walk in the blessing.

So as you step out today, please know....

That You Are Blessed.   That No Weapon Formed Against You Can Prosper.   That Everything You Put Your Hands To Shall Prosper and That You Are "Loved".  

Know that God has you engraved in the palm of His hands and He sees you.   He sees what you are going through.  He hasn't left you.   Nor will He ever leave you.

Know who you are in Christ.   Know the protection that comes with the blood.  
As God was with Moses....so shall He be with you.....and nothing the enemy brings against you can stand in your life.   (Joshua 1:5)

My step of faith today is starting this "Blog" through the encouragement of one of my good friends.   My prayer today is that it will be a blessing in someones life....
