Are You Letting God's Word Be The Final Authority In Your Life? You Have To Trust Him To Do What He Said He Would Do...

God has not changed.   He has not changed His mind about you and His plan for your life has not changed.    Have you changed your mind?   Are you still walking with Him and trusting Him to do what He said He would do for you, in you, and through you?

The thing about God and His plan is that He doesn't reveal to us His timeframe.    Timeframe is defined as a specified period in which something occurs or is planned to take place.   God doesn't give that to us.   He doesn't tell us that our blessing will come forth today, tomorrow, or the next day.   He just says that if we are willing and obedient, we SHALL eat the good of the land.

So the question is, are you limiting your willingness and obedience?   Are  you stepping out of line or losing faith because things don't seem to be working the way you want them to when you want them to or are you remaining in faith based on God's Word?   We have to let God's Word be the final authority.   We have to trust it, believe it, and wait on it to come to pass.   We have to stop trying to put stipulations on God.   God is God and you just have to trust in who He is and you have to trust what He has said He would do.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Numbers 23:19

King James Version (KJV)

19 God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

Are You Being Still? Are You Deliberately Taking A Stand For God Without Shifting Your Posture, Position, or Attitude?

What does it mean to be still?   To be still means to be unmovable and unshakeable.   It means to be like a statue.   It means that your stance doesn't change.   Your stance is your deliberate stand.   It deals with your posture, your position, and your attitude.    The question is, how are you standing for God?   Are you being still?   Are you deliberately taking a stand for God without shifting your posture, your position, or you attitude?

Have you ever been standing somewhere and someone comes and bumps you and it cause you to stumble or to fall?   One of the reasons we can stumble or fall is because our feet are not fixed or should I say we are not in a secure position that would keep us from falling.   So when we are bumped or caught "off guard" or "unexpectedly", we can be shaken and sometimes we stumble and fall.

It's time to be fixed on the Word of God.   It's time to be still to the point that we are unmovable and unshakeable.    It's time to take a deliberate stand.   We have to posture ourselves based on God's point of view.   Our posture will determine the way we deal with and consider things in our lives because our posture will determine how we see things.   If something is set before you in the distance and you are bent over trying to look at it, you don't see it the same way you would if you were standing upright.   So we have to be in an upright position in order to see our situations the way God wants us to see them.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Psalm 46:10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Are You Saying What You Think You Deserve or Are You Giving God What He Deserves?

We are so quick to say what we want and what we feel we deserve in life.   What about what God deserves?   What about the glory He deserves?   What about the worship and the praise He deserves?    Are you giving God what He deserves or are you trying to take it for yourself.

God is our Father.  He is the source of our Strength.   He is our Waymaker and He is our Peace.   God is our Healer and he is our Deliverer.   He is everything we need whenever we need it.   The question is, are we acknowledging Him for who He is and are we giving Him thanks for what He has done and is doing in our lives?

We have to stop looking at our lives in the aspect of what it is we think we need and want.   We have to learn how to be givers and not just takers.    A taker is always looking for someone to give them something, whereas, a giver is always looking to give what they have.

We have to get to the place where we are not just asking God to give and to do for us.   We have to learn how to give to God.   We have to give Him the glory and the praise.   We have to give Him the fruit of our lips.   We have to give out of our resources to Him while remembering that He is the "source" of our resources.   We have to give Him our lives entirely and we have to stop holding in reserve the parts of our lives that we want to try to maintain control over.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Psalm 29:1-2

King James Version (KJV)

Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.  Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

God Said That He Has Prepared A Table For You In The Presence Of Your Enemies; What Are You Doing After You Have Feasted and Been Filled Up With His Word?

What are you doing after you have sat at God's table and have partaken of His goodness, grace, love, and mercy?  Are you getting up and giving occasion for your flesh or are you resting and waiting in God's Word? Are you getting up murmuring and complaining or are you keeping your mouth from speaking evil and speaking faith filled words?

We can sit at God's table and be filled with His Word but the question is, what are you  doing after you get up? Are you representing God well or are you stepping over into sin and stupidity? Stupidity is defined as behavior that shows a lack of good sense or judgment. We all have a choice as to what we are going to do next. What will you do with what God has given you? What will you do with the Word that He has revealed to you? What will you do with the people that He has placed in your life? Will you honor them and respect them or will you turn your back on them? To turn your back on someone or something means to ignore or to refuse to think about, believe, or accept.

Are you turning your back on God when you should be turning your back on the ways of the world.   Understand, what you think about, what you believe, and what you accept tells you what you are holding on to and the whatever is opposite of that, is what you are turning your back on.   So if you are holding on to sinful behavior, you are turning your back on God.   If you holding on to and obeying God and His Word, then you are turning your back on sin.

Life is full of choices.   Understand, God has prepared you and placed you here to be a vessel that glorifies Him.   Are  you fulfilling that purpose?   Are you being a light that shines so bright for God that it shows others the way that they should go or is your light being dimmed out by sin because you choose to follow the lusts of your flesh?

Psalms 23:5

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

God Wants You To Be Secure In What He Has Told You To Do ... He Wants You To Be Free From Fear So That You Can Fully Walk In Faith!

What if the people around you are not doing what they are supposed to do?  Do you give up and quit or do you stand fast  and fulfill the call that God has placed on your life?   Many people hear God but yet they choose not to obey Him.   Will you let their disobedience hinder the work that God has called you to?  It's easy to give up and quit and it is hard to stand fast  and be committed when you can't see the good results of your commitment.

The word stand fast means to be firm, fixed, and settled.    When you are firm, you are not weak or unsettled.   You are secure.   When you are fixed, you are not subject to change or fluctuation.    Again, you are secure.   When you are settled, you are in a place that you plan to stay.   You are established and  you are secure.

You have to be secure in what God has told you to do.   When you are secure, you are free from fear and you walk fully in faith.   Security gives you confidence and peace of mind.   Make sure you are not moving based on what others are doing.   Stick with God.   Have confidence in what He has told you to do.   Be steadfast and unmovable and know that God is working everything in  your life together for your good.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

God Is Ready To Take You Onward and Upward ... It's Time To Move Forward In Him and With Him!

I am hearing two words in my Spirit right now.   They are "onward" and "upward".   To move onward means to move forward.   It means to go in a continuous forward direction.   To move upward means to move, point, or lead to a higher place, point, or level.   God is ready for us to move onward and upward.   He wants us to continuously move forward.   He wants us to step into that higher place in Him.    It's time to move from the place of stagnation or comfortableness to the place of divine blessing.

Not everyone will be able to see it.   They won't be able to see how God is taking you from where you are to where He wants you to be.   Not everyone will understand the capacity of your call.  When we talk about the capacity of something, we are talking about the ability it has to hold or contain something.   Understand, God has empowered you and He has now enlarged your capacity to contain His blessings because you have been proven faithful.

God is saying it is time to move onward and upward.   He is saying that He is taking you out of the place where you have been experiencing just enough to the place where you shall walk in more than enough so that you can be a blessing to His kingdom.     He is saying that He is solidifying your walk to where you are actually walking in the blessings and not just talking about the blessings.    God is ready to do a new thing in you and as He does it, you will see your life move onward and upward in Him.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 43:19

 King James Version (KJV)

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Understand That God Is Whatever We Need Him To Be Whenever We Need Him. God Is Not Limited In Power.

God is ...

Who or what is God to you?   God said that He is the Lord God that heals.   Do you see Him as your healer?   He said that He is the Lord God that provides.   Do you see Him as your provider?

How do you see God?   God is our everything but we have to see Him as our everything.   What we see does not change who God is.   God is not limited based on our visibility.   He is still God and He is still able to do whatever needs to be done in your life.

As you look to God and look for God, you have to make sure that Your vision is not obstructed by the situations you are encountering in life.   Obstructions are obstacles, stumbling blocks, hindrances, and barriers.   What is it in  your life that is trying to block your vision  where God is concerned.

You have to know that God is whatever you need Him to be whenever You need Him.    His ability to do whatever needs to be done in your life has not changed.   He is not limited in nor ability.   He is God alone.   He doesn't need our help to do what He needs to do but He does want our faith to believe and trust Him to do it.

Remove whatever obstacles there are that may be hindering your faith.   Trust God wholly and completely.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

What Will You Do With The Life and The Voice God Has Given You?

What will you do with this life God has given you?   Will you represent Him well?   Will you seek Him and will you serve Him or will you seek friendships and relationships that totally go against His Word and His will?   What will you do with the voice He has given you?   Will you sing and tell of His goodness, grace, love, and mercy or will you use it to murmur and to complain?  What about the family He has given you?    Your spouse, your children, your bothers, and your sisters?    How will you lead them?   Will you be a Godly example and live a lifestyle that is right and pleasing in God's sight or will you live according to your flesh and seek to be a manpleaser and lead them down a path of destruction?

We all have choices to make.   God has given all of us a free will to choose.   Everything that we do and say is a matter of choice.   We have to choose to be an example and we have to choose to represent God well.    In order to  represent God well, we have to lay down the desires of our flesh.    We can't live according to our flesh and think that we are pleasing God.

Remember, it is because of God that we live, breathe, and have our being.   Now we have to decide if we live this life for Him or against Him.   It is one way or the other.   What will your choice be?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Deuteronomy 30:15-20

Amplified Bible (AMP)

Choose Life

15 “Listen closely, I have set before you today life and prosperity (good), and death and adversity (evil); 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments (precepts), so that you will live and multiply, and that the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you will not hear and obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not live long in the land which you cross the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, 20 by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding closely to Him; for He is your life [your good life, your abundant life, your fulfillment] and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord promised (swore) to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

Are You Willing To Do What It Takes In Order To Please God? Are You Committed To What You Say You Believe?

Are you really ready?   Are you ready to be used by God?   We always say that we want God to use our lives.   The question is, are you willing to do what it takes to do what God wants?   In other words, are you willing to walk where He tells you to walk?   Are you willing to talk the way He tells you to talk?   Are you willing to let go of what He tells you to let go of?   Are you willing to sacrifice the desires of your flesh in order to fulfill God's perfect plan for your life?

God is ready to use your life, the question is, are you ready to be used by God.

God never told us that it would be easy to serve Him.    He never said that commitment would be easy.   We have to understand that commitment brings with it restrictions.    Commitment restricts our freedom of actions.   It takes away the ability to just do anything any time you want to.    Think about a marriage.   When you are married and truly committed, you restrict the actions and desires of your flesh.   There is a boundary that you don't cross over when you are truly committed.    Your boundary is drawn based on your on your responsibility, obligation, and duty.   Your commitment always considers the fact that you are liable for your actions.

So when we say we are ready to serve God, we have to be committed.   We have to take responsibility for our actions.   We have to be obligated and we have to know that it is our duty to serve God without compromise.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Psalms 37:5
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

Proverbs 16:3
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Are You Trying To Maintain Your Life Without Asking For Help From God? Do You Remember The Scripture Says That God Is A Very Present Help In A Time Of Trouble?

What are you going to do?   Are you going to let God be God or are you going to try to maintain control of your life and do what you want to do in the flesh?    We need God.   We need Him to not only make a way but we also need Him to show us the way that He has made.

So often in life we try to do things on our own.   We try to "maintain" without asking for help from anyone ... not even God.    We have to realize that God said that He has prepared a way for us and we have to trust Him enough to follow the path that He has set before us.

God's way is not necessarily our way so we have to subdue our flesh in order to live right and righteously for Him.    In order for us to follow anyone or anything, we have to see where they are going.   If you can't see them, how can you follow them?    Therefore, the first thing we must do in order to follow God is to see Him.   We can't see Him if we don't seek Him.    So we must do what the Word tells us to do.   We must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness so that we will know the way that God would have us to go.

So the question arises again, what are you going to do?   Are  you willing to surrender all so that you can freely follow the plan of God and fulfill the purpose of God for your life?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 Corinthians 11:1
Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.

Learning How To Rest In The Promises Of God and How Not To Get Caught Up In The Problems Of Life

What happens next is up to you.   Will you be frustrated and discouraged or will you walk in hope, faith, trust, and love?    It's easy to quit and give up.   The thing is, when you quit and give up, you don't have to face adversity.   The word adversity is defined as trouble, difficulty, hardship, and distress.    Life will bring with it trouble.   It will bring with it difficulty.   It will bring with it hardship and it will bring with it distress.   The question is, how are you handling all of those things?

How do you handle the situations in your life that are not working out the way you want them to work out?   Are you giving up?   Are you quitting?   Or are you trusting that God will work it all together for your good.    It's hard sometimes to believe that the bad things that are happening in our lives can be used for our good.   When we are in the midst of pain and suffering, that's what we see and that's what we feel.   We see the hardship and we see the difficulties.   We have to learn how to refocus and see our God in the midst of the hardship and in the midst of every difficulty we encounter in life.

When you think about what you are going to do next.  Think about how good God is.   Think about His power and His ability.   Think about the fact that you are not alone.   Think about what God said and know that He will honor His Word in your life.    Learn how to rest in the promises of God and how not to get caught up in the problems of life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
2 Peter 1:4
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Are You Using God's Word As A Filter For Your Life?

Are you soaking in the Word of God?   A lot of times people want to hear the scriptures that make them feel good.   What about the scriptures that are meant to correct and to bring about change in your life?   Are you taking time to meditate on those scriptures?   Are you allowing them to permeate in your mind, your will, and your emotions?   To permeate means to filter through something.   God wants His Word to be the filter we use in every area of our lives.

In order for our lives to be filtered by the Word of God, we have to get the Word in us.   We have to understand there are steps of obedience in order to receive God's blessings.    We have to move past just looking for God to do a miracle and understand that God said that if we are willing and obedient, we SHALL eat the good of the land.

God is not looking for momentary obedience.   He is looking for lifestyles of obedience.    He is looking not only for faith, He is looking for people that are faithful.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Deuteronomy 28:1-9

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all His commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
4 Blessed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and blessed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and He shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as He hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in His ways.

What Is Your Lifestyle Saying To The World In Response To Their Questions About Who God Is? Are You Negotiating With The World Concerning Who You Are To God and In God?

What are you saying to the world in response to their questions concerning your life?   Understand, your lifestyle is a response.   What they see and what they hear coming from your life is in response to their questions regarding who God is to you.    Are you going with the world's flow and failing to take a stand for God or are you rejecting what the world wants you to do in order to be pleasing to God?   What is  your response?

Do you respond in faith when things look like they are not working out the way you need them to or do you give up, quit, and try to make things happen on your own?   When the world asks you what is your favorite book, are you bold enough to say the Bible or a book that pertains to life and Godliness?    What about when they ask you what your favorite song is, do you pick an oldie but goody just because they may know that song?    What is your response?

God wants you to be bold.   He wants you to show forth His glory through your life.   That means He wants you to be able to give a God response.  When people look at you, they should see the God in you.   When they listen to you, they should hear the God in you.   This doesn't mean that you have to preach to them.   It just means you have a standard and that you refuse to negotiate who you are to God and in God.   To negotiate means to deal or to bargain with.   Don't negotiate with the world concerning who God is in your life.   He is the very breadth of life and He has chosen you to be His representative in the earth.   Represent Him well.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

1 Corinthians 15:58

King James Version (KJV)

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Don't Just Be A Recipient Of God's Love ... Be A Donor! Are You Allowing God's Love To Flow Through You Into The Lives Of Those Around You?

Are you just receiving God's love and never allowing His love to flow through you onto and into the lives of others?   God's love is amazing, unending, and supernatural.   It never changes.   It looks beyond our faults and sees past our imperfections.   God's love endures.   Have we forgotten that we are made in His image and formed after His likeness?   Have we forgotten that His Holy Spirit resides on the inside of us?   Have we forgotten that greater is He that is in us than anything else in this world?   Have we forgotten that He wants us to allow His love to flow through us into and onto the lives of those around us?

God does not want us to love someone today and to say that we don't even like them tomorrow.   He does not want us to look at the mistakes that others have made and point out all of their imperfections.    He wants us to understand what it means to endure.   It means to suffer patiently.   It means to last, live on, go on, abide, and to persist.   It also means to remain, to stay, and to survive.    If we are to endure in love, we can't just walk away or walk out because the situation is painful.    Understand, that is not saying that we are to suffer abuse and to stay in abusive situations.   Abuse is the improper use or mishandling of something.   God did not call any of us to be in abusive relationships.

Make up your mind today that you are going to be a vessel through which the love of God flows freely through.    We have to learn how to love people into the Kingdom.   Instead of pointing out their faults, let them see God's forgiveness first operating through your life.   Let them feel the flow of the love of God coming from you to them.  Remember, love is not always deserved.   Keep in mind, God loves us despite our weakness, disobedience, and sinful nature.   He has forgiven us and has allowed us to come before Him and to partake of His love, His grace, and His mercy.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 John 4:9-11
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Are You Letting Patience Have Her Perfect Work In Your Life or Are You Trying To Microwave The Promises Of God? In Other Words, Are You Trying To Get The Quick Result and Giving Up If It Is Taking To Long To See The God Result In Your Life?

Being patient is not the easiest thing to do.   We live in a world where everything is quick.   We want our food quick, so we go to fast food restaurants or we heat things up in a microwave.   We want to get to our destinations quick, so we fly instead of driving to enjoy the scenery.   Almost all of our actions and attitudes are centered around the time it takes to get something done.    Then we get upset with God because we feel He is not moving fast enough in our lives.

The Bible says that it is through faith and patience that we will inherit the promises of God.    In the book of James it tells us that we are to let patience have her perfect work so that we will be entire, wanting nothing.    Yet we struggle with being patient.   When you are patient, you have the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.

Are you being patient when it comes to the promises of God?   Are you accepting the fact that your promise may be delayed while still standing and staying in faith or are you counseling out your faith with thoughts and words of doubt concerning God coming through for you?

It's time to go against the odds.   It's time to trust God until the promise is made manifest.   It's time to stop speaking doubt when you experience delay.   It's time to let patience have her perfect work in your heart, mind, actions, and words.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
James 1:4
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Will You Let Today Be The Day Where You Release All Of Your Hurt and Pain?

What is it that you keep trying to do on your own?   What is it that you "still" can't bring yourself to surrender to God?   Is it your family or your friends?   Is it your job?   Is it your hurt and your disappointment?   What is it that you are holding on to that could possibly be hindering your walk with God?

Let today be a day of release.   A day where you release the hurt, the pain, and the people.   Let it be a day where you surrender all to God.   To surrender means to cease resistance.   It means to yield, give way to, and to submit.   Will you yield to God?   Will you give way to His Word, His will, and His way?   Will you submit completely and totally to Him?   The choice is yours.

God is not going to make you surrender all to Him.   He has already let you know that He is there.   He has already told you to cast your care upon Him because He cares for you.   He has already assured you that He would never leave you nor forsake you.   He has already promised to provide for you.   Now, the choice is yours.   You now have the opportunity to take Him at His Word.   Will you do it?   Will you trust God with your whole life?

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Isaiah 12:2
Behold, God [is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH [is] my strength and [my] song; he also is become my salvation.

What Are You Allowing To Silence Your Praise?

What is it in your life that you have allowed to silence your praise?   Have you allowed people to silence your praise?   Have your allow sickness to silence your praise?   What about lack?   Have you allowed what you feel is not enough to cause your praise to be silenced?    How about where you live?   Have you allowed your living arrangements to silence the voice that God has given  you?    You have to learn how to press pass the trials and anxieties of life and begin to praise God right where you are.

The thing is, we can "let" things happen.   To let means to allow, not prevent or forbid.  There are many things in life that we have no control over but UNDERSTAND, we do have control over our praise.   We just have to make up in our mind that we are going to praise God despite what we are going through.    We have to practice praising Him in the midst of every situation in life.

Yes there are times when it is hard to praise God.  When we are experiencing pain, it is hard to press pass that pain in order to give God praise.   It's like when a woman gives birth, the pain can be overwhelming.   It's hard to see past the pain in order to get to the place of praise but we have to keep in mind the promise of the blessing that comes after the intense labor.   So it is in life, we have to remember, God has made a promise and His promise says that He has a plan and His plan is filled with hope, a future, and an expected end.   We have to know and trust that God has already set in place what we need our outcome to be.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Are You Taking Every Given Opportunity To Magnify The Goodness Of God In Your Life In Order To Encourage Others?

Are you letting God be magnified or are you trying to steal His glory?   Are you trying to take credit for what God has done in your life by saying look at what I got instead of saying look at what God has done?   Are you taking every given opportunity in your life to magnify the goodness, grace, and the love that God has poured out upon you.

People may not want to hear it.  They may get tired of hearing you say just how good God has been to you but you can't worry about what people think.   You have a Father that loves you and you should never stop testifying about what He is doing in your life.

We do have to make sure that we are not walking in pride or being boastful in regards to our testimony.   We want to make sure that our testimony is lifting others up and helping them to see the goodness of God and not lifting ourselves up to cause people to think that we think we are better than others or deserve more than others.    If our testimony is not uplifting and encouraging others, we are not presenting God in the right light.

As we testify, God's love, grace, and favor is what others should see.   They should see and understand that God is not a respecter of persons and what He has done for you, He can also do for them.
