How You Handle The Trial Will Determine How Soon You Receive The Breakthrough

How are you handling the trial?   How are you handling the things that are coming against your life?   Are you murmuring and complaining?   Are you giving up and quitting?   Are you walking in discouragement or are you staying in a place of faith and trust.   The place where you are being still, watching, waiting, and relying on God?   Are you obeying God no matter what else is going on in your life?   Understand, how you handle the trial will determine how soon you receive the breakthrough.

God is still God.   No matter what situations we encounter in life, God has not changed.   He is still Jehovah Jireh our Provider and Jehovah Rapha our Healer.   He is still our source and He is still our supply.   Everything we need can be found in and with God and yet we tend to seek and search outside of Him for people, places, and things to fulfill our needs.

As you are going through trials in your life, you have to stay in a place of trust and obedience.   You have to trust that God will do what He said He would do.   You have to also stay in a place of expectancy.    You hope and expectation have to remain in God.   If you don't have hope and if you don't expect God to move for you, in you, and through you, then you don't have faith.

Learn how to trust God in spite of the appearance of your situation.   God is forever faithful!

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Joshua 5:6

King James Version (KJV)

For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the Lord: unto whom the Lord sware that he would not shew them the land, which the Lord sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

What Path Are You Treading In Life? Are You Living For The Moment?

We have to know that we are not perfect.   We have to know that we may sometimes mess up in life.   We may sometimes do the wrong thing or say the wrong thing and we have to know that God is a loving and forgiving God.   But the question is, what do you do when you recognize the wrong you have done?   Do you stay there?   Do you wallow in your sin?   Do you continue to tread the path of unrighteousness or do you repent and turn back to the way that you know is right?

We all make mistakes but making a mistake is different than living a lifestyle of sin.    God is a just and forgiving God.   His love for us goes beyond anything we could ever imagine and all He wants from us is for us to love Him back.    He wants us to see Him clearly and to worship Him deeply.

One of the biggest mistakes that people make in life is the fact that they live for the moment.   They live for momentary pleasure and not eternal gain.   We have to understand that the desires of the flesh are momentary.   They come and they go.   It's like pinching your skin.   The pain of a pinch comes and then it goes.   However, dependent on the intensity of the pinch, it can leave an unwanted mark or bruise.    We have to stop allowing things in our lives that eventually leave unwanted marks and bruises that testify against our walk for God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 8:13

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”

Are You Trusting In The Fact That God Is Your Shield and Your Buckler? He Is Your Defender and Your Defense ...

What will you do?   What will you do when family and friends come against you?   What will you do when they talk about you and turn their back on you?   Will you talk about them too or will you surrender it all to God?   Will you go head on head with them or will you be still and "quiet" and know that God is fighting your battle for you?    What will you do?

So often in life we feel as though we have to come to our own defense.   We feel as though we have to say something in response to what others are saying.   Yes, we need to uproot the words and the works of the enemy but we can do that through prayer.   We don't have to retaliate when the enemy is speaking out against us.   Remember, the enemy will use any willing vessel and we always have to remember that we are not fighting against flesh and blood but agains principalities, powers, and the rulers of darkness.

Don't get into battles with people.    Don't allow their words to control your actions.   Just be still and pray.   Pray knowing that God is your defender and He is your defense.   When someone or something defends you, it protects you from harm and danger.   The enemy can say things about you and try to do things to you but he cannot harm you because God is your shield and your buckler.    He is always present in the time of trouble and He will take care of you.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Deuteronomy 20

King James Version (KJV)

20 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people,
And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Are You Going Boldly To God's Throne Of Grace and Surrendering All To Him?

What if everything stopped right here?   What if this was the end of time?  What would you say to God?   How would you explain how you have handled this life that He has given you?   Would you be hearing Him say well done my good and faithful servant or will you be trying to explain to Him why you persevered in the flesh rather than living according to His Word?

One day we will all have to give an answer to God.   Man can't judge us but that doesn't mean we won't be judged.   People say it all the time to people when they say "God is my judge" but I don't think people really think about what they say in relation to what they do.   People say it because they don't want others judging them but they overlook the fact that one day, God will be the judge.

It's time we recognize the fact that if Jesus tarried our time here on earth will one day end.   We need to make sure that we do all we can to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God.   God is so gracious.   His mercy for us is renewed every day.   Today is a divine opportunity to get it right if you haven't already done so.   God said that we are to come boldly to His throne of grace.    It's time to surrender all and that all includes the acts of our flesh.   We must surrender completely to God for God to use our lives completely for His glory.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 12:1

King James Version (KJV)

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Are You Living Your Life On Purpose For God's Purpose or Are You Just Going Through The Motions and Wasting Time?

What are you wasting?   Are you wasting your time?   Are you wasting your talent?  Are you wasting the Word that God has given you?   There are different definitions for the word waste.   One means to use carelessly or to have no purpose for something.   The other means to be not used, cultivated, or built on.

Are you wasting the Word and the life that God has given you?   Are you building up your faith on His most holy Word?  Are you living your life on purpose with His purpose in mind?   What are you doing with this life God has given you.

It's time to stop wasting time!   It's time to use this life that God has given you on purpose for His purpose.   It's time to not only speak His Word but to live according to His Word.   It's time to stop doubting and to start trusting and to truly walk in faith and to live our lives totally and completely for God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Are You Really Ready To Move Forward With God In Life?

Are you really ready?   You say that you are ready for God to move in your life.   You say that you are ready to do a great work for Him.   You say that you are ready to move forward with Him but are you really ready?

Are you ready for the obstacles you will encounter?   Are you ready for the attacks that will come your way?   Are you ready to be lied on and talked about?   Are you ready to lose "self" in order for you to truly represent God.

The Bible says we are to count up the cost.   We have to know and realize serving God is not an easy road.   Why do you think He told Moses to leave everything he knew so that he could get everything he had for him.

Sometimes you have to disengage.   To disengage means to separate, release, detach, and disentangle.   Sometimes you are tangled up with the wrong people, places, and things.

Understand, serving God requires you to let your flesh die.   The things you used to do, you can't do anymore.   The things you used to say, you can't say anymore.   Remember, God looks at the "intent" of your heart.   So whether it comes out of your mouth or not, GOD KNOWS!

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
1 Samuel 16:7
King James Version (KJV)

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

What Is Your Mindset? Are You Living With A Mindset Of Defeat or Are You Walking Confidently Knowing That God Is With You?

Are you living in a mindset of defeat?  Where you think you can't make it or you won't make it.   Where you feel there is no way out of the situation you are currently experiencing in life.    If you are, it's time to walk in the freedom you have been given.   You have to know that you have been set free and that God is with you.

Jesus came so that you could be free.   It's like being locked in a cell and the door has been opened for you to walk out and yet you continue to stay in the cell that holds you in bondage.   It's time to walk out of the cell that has been holding you captive in your mind.

Life is not easy and the things we experience in life will sometimes come at us hard but that doesn't mean we are defeated.   We have to know and believe that we are more than conquerors through Christ.

Don't allow what you think to override what God has said.   Don't allow your situation to push you off of God's Word.   Don't allow fear to override your faith.   Don't allow God to be pushed off the throne of your mind by fear and anxiety.   Have a God mindset.   Know that God is well able to deliver you no matter what you are experiencing in life.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 26:3-4

King James Version (KJV)

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

What Are You Allowing To Cause You To Lose Focus and To Distract You In Life?

Don't be distracted by the "distractions"!   A distraction is anything that keeps you from giving your full attention to something else.   What is keeping you from focusing on God?   What is keeping you from praying?   What is keeping you from sharing God's Word with others?   What is keeping you from being willing and obedient?  What is distracting you in life?

Sometimes we let everything get in our way.   We start off going in the right direction and doing good and then something or some things get in our way.   We let fear get in our way.   We let worry get in our way.   We let people, places, and the situations in our lives distract us from doing what God has told us to do.   We even let our emotions get in our way.

It is time for us to focus on God and the things of God.   It's time to start casting down those things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of who God is and what God has said He will do.    It's time to move forward with God despite the many things in our lives that try to take our focus off of Him.

It is easy to say with our mouths don't be distracted but it is hard when thoughts are continuously coming up in our mind and situations are continuously coming up in our lives but the first step to overcoming distractions is to first recognize that you are being distracted.     If you never recognize the problem, you can never deal with it.    Once you start identifying the areas in your life that cause your attention to be diverted, you can immediately deal with them and regain your focus on God.   To regain means to obtain possession or use of something after losing it.   Let's do our best to keep our hearts and minds stayed on God.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Isaiah 26:3

King James Version (KJV)

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Are You Seeking God, Following God, and Resting In God As You Let Go Of All The Other Stuff That Is Bringing Frustration Into Your Life?

Are you allowing people, places, or things to frustrate you?   Are you constantly thinking about what you can't do or what you feel others have done to you?    Are your actions a result of how you feel or are they based on what God said?

If your emotions are in response to someone else's actions, you will constantly be tossed too and fro.    You will be up one minute and down another.   You have to remember that we all are individuals and how we talk, walk, and handle things in our lives is different for each one of us.   We want others to see things the way we do but that is not always the case.   Our job is to love others and to pray for them.   We are not to be their judge and try to condemn them for how they handle situations in life.

Life is not always easy and each of us have battles that we face in life.   Whether our battle is sickness, disease, addiction, abuse, lack, etc.   It's all a battle that we must overcome and the only way to overcome is by casting the care of whatever we are going through on God because He cares for us.

Only God can heal.   Only God can deliver.   Only God can give us supernatural peace.   Only God can truly provide whatever it is we need in life.   We have to put our faith, hope, and trust in God.   We have to get out of the place of frustration into the place of prayer and peace.   We have to seek God, follow God, and rest in God and let go of all the other stuff that brings frustration into our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Ephesians 4:31 - Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Matthew 6:14 - For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Are You Letting Your Remembrance Of What God Has Done For You Fuel Your Faith?

Are you giving God all of you or are you just surface serving?    When something is on the surface, it is on the outside.   Understand, You can live for God on the surface where you say you love God and that you would do anything for Him but what happens when things don't go your way or the way you expected them to go?   Do you still serve Him or do you leave Him to try to figure out things on your own?

God is looking at you.   Not only is He looking at You, He is waiting and wanting you to seek Him and to serve Him with your whole heart.    He wants you to trust Him and to believe Him even when things are hard.

Yes its easy to say "I trust God" and then it gets hard when times get hard but at those times you have to remember what He did for you before.    Remember how He delivered you and how He healed you.   Remember how He made a way when you didn't know what to do.   Let your remembrance of what He has done fuel your faith in Him.   Not only that, you have to trust His Word.    God said in His Word that He is not a man and He cannot lie.   What He has said, He will do.    You have to learn how to take God at His Word.

Serving God is not an easy thing to do.   It requires faith and it requires commitment.   You have to have faith in His Word and you have commit yourself to trusting and believing Him no matter what the appearance of your situation is.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Psalm 56:3

King James Version (KJV)

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Are You Letting Fear Keep You From Trusting and Obeying God?

Are you letting fear stop "you" from doing what God has told you to do?  He has told you that He is with you.   He has even confirmed it with signs and wonders following and yet you are still failing to trust Him.   You are still failing to do what He has told you to do.

Are you trying to figure out the way when God has already told you the way?    Are you trying to connect the vision that He has given you with people you "think" are more anointed than you or those that you think can do "this one thing" better than you?   Understand, if God wanted others to fulfill the vision for you or with you, He would have said so.   God is very specific.    When He gave the men of old direction, He was very clear about saying  who He wanted them to take with them and in return He blessed them, those that was with them, and their whole households.

We have to get to a place where we don't allow fear to stop us from doing what God has called us to do.   We have to stop looking at what others are doing and start trusting God to do a new and a good work in us.   We have to know that as long as God is by our side, there is nothing we cannot do.   We have to know that if He gave us the instructions, the plan will work out the way it is supposed to no matter what obstacles we encounter along the way.

God's promises are true.   We just have to have our faith and trust in Him to honor His Word  in our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Leviticus 26:3-43

King James Version (KJV)

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.
11 And I set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
13 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

It's Time To Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone, To Let Go Of Your Past, and To Wait In Hope and Expectation For God To Move In Your Life

Why look back?   Why go back to what used to be?   Hope and expectation relate to your future and not your past.   So often in life we want to go back.   We want to go back to our zone of comfort.   The place that we know.   Even though we know that God has delivered us, we still tend to want to look back or go back to something that is a part of our past.   We have to learn how to let it go.   How to let go of not only the pain of our past but also the things that enticed our flesh in our past.

Letting go is not always easy.   It's easy to say it but doing it is not as easy.    The reason it is so easy to go back to our past is because it represents what we know.   Have you ever heard a person say "at least I know what will happen if I do this".   They say that because they are confident in the things they know and have experienced.   We have to gain that same confidence in God and the unknown.   Walking with God into the unknown requires faith and faith requires you to have trust in God.   Remember, those things we cannot see, God sees and those things we do not know, God knows.

It's time to step out of your comfort zone.   It's time to let go of what used to be so that God can do a new thing in your life.   It's time to trust God and to wait with hope and expectation for what you need Him to do and for what He wants to do in you, through you, and for you.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Philippians 3:13-14

King James Version (KJV)

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Have You Made Up Your Mind and Confessed With Your Mouth That You Will Not Walk In Fear?

The Bible tells us to fear not and yet we are constantly walking around afraid.   It tells us to trust God and yet we are constantly questioning whether He will honor His Word in "our" lives.   It tells us to wait on God and we continuously try to put our plan in motion instead of waiting on God to reveal His plan.   It's time to stop walking in fear.   It's time for us to trust God, so that we can have peace in God while we wait for His plan to be revealed in our lives.

God has a plan and He said that His plan is to give us hope, a future, and an expected end and yet we still try to work our own plan.   If God's plan provides us with hope, why do we need our own plan?   If God's plan is for our future, why do we need to make our own way? At some point we have to stop.   We have to stop and we just have to wait on God to fulfill His perfect plan in our lives.

So make up your mind and confess with your mouth that you will not fear.    Speak God's Word to yourself boldly and loudly until you are convinced with everything that is within you that His Word is true and that He will honor His Word.   Remember, David encouraged himself in the Lord and that is what we have to do to.   We have to know that God is real and we have to know that God will honor His Word in every area of our lives.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Numbers 23:19

King James Version (KJV)

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Half The Year Is Gone, Are You Looking Forward To The Blessings God Has In Store For You? Are You Turning Up God's Light and Shutting Out The Darkness? (Written By Gloria Davidson Walker)

Today is a new day.   It is a day that God has made and He wants us to rejoice and be glad in it.   Today as I was posting on Facebook, I ran across a post that my friend had written that is for such as time as this.   I asked her if I could share her post on the blog today because I feel it is relevant to where we are in life and where God is taking us.

Today's Post Written By Gloria Davidson Walker ...

Well, we've flipped the calendar AGAIN!  Half of 2017 has gone by; however, there are six months YET to experience.  Are you walking in "your" purpose?  Need to make a midcourse correction; a U Turn in direction?  NOW is the time.  Can you not see what delay has already caused?  June was an "awesome" month!  Graduations, parties, weddings, catching up with friends and family, travel, celebration of marriages with renewing of vows...and what's good is there are a lot more celebrations and events to come.  However, count up the cost, use wisdom.

Remember all things "aren't" expedient even if they are lawful....If you're a Christian and are UNashamed of representing that fact, you signed up for the Witness Protection Plan, so you've been commissioned to "protect your witness".  That means making choices that can be celebrated by God and that give Him pleasure and delight.  That's really the greatest kind of celebration.  When "He" can celebrate you.  When He can point to you and say to others "If you wanna see what I'm about look at him/her; they're made in my image and they do what they see me do.  They turn UP the light and shut out the darkness.

I'm excited about the next 180 or so days and beyond!  Looking forward to geographical blessings, family health, occupational blessings, multiplication of possessions, increase, territorial dominion, victory in every battle, more favor, fruit added to my account, my due season (faith activated), divine promotion as I take by faith what I was promised because as I was reminded earlier this year at "A Woman's Worth"...He's a promise keeper.

We've flipped the calendar and some things have been overturned, reversed, rescinded and put to an end; an expected end.  Talk about TURN UP!!!...Turn up your expectations.  Believe.  Make ready!  Expect!  Plan the party because there will be another celebration!  I know I am!  #LivinMyLifeLikeItsGolden #LetsGetBack2Eden  Living on top of the world!

Are You Finding It Hard To Get Back To God and The Things Of God Because You Have Been Feeding The Appetite Of Your Flesh?

Are you willing to put God back in His proper position in Your life?   One of the hardest things to do is to get back to God and the things of God when you have chosen to live outside of His will but its time to get back.   It's time to go back to what you know to be right, just, pure, and true.

We have to understand what happens when we allow our flesh to take over.   When we feed the appetite of our flesh, it becomes stronger and because it is stronger, it makes us weak spiritually.   So we have to understand the need to feed our spirit, so that our spiritual walk can be strong enough to overtake our flesh.

Life is not always easy and the right choices can sometimes be hard to make but we have to make them.   We have to "choose" to do what is right.   We have to look beyond the momentary pleasure of the flesh in order to fulfill God's plan for our lives.

If you have been entertaining your flesh, it's time to put God and the things of God back into their proper place in your life.    Tomorrow is not promised to any of us but if you are here now, God has extended His grace to you today.   Don't let today go by without giving God the glory He is due.   He wants to be glorified by and through your life.    Choose Him first and not just when you have need of something from Him.

Remember, it is only because of God we live, breathe, and have our being.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Are You Saying One Thing With Your Mouth and Failing To Trust God With Your Whole Heart?

Are you stuck where you are right now?  Are you so focused in on what you see that you can't see what God said?   Understand, it won't always be like it is right now.   Understand, that what God said, He will do.   Understand, you have to take a stand!

It's time to stand on what you say you believe.   You say that you believe God and that you trust God. It's time to stand on your words.   Don't just say it ... "just do it".   Choose to believe.   Choose to trust.   Choose to wait on God.

So often in life we give God "lip service".   Lip service is defined as saying something with your mouth but it is not backed by what you do.   We have to be fully committed.   We have to back up what we say we believe by what we do.   We can't keep saying we trust and believe God and then walk away in fear and doubt.    We have to not only speak faith with our mouths, we have to also believe in our heart without doubting.

It' time to take the focus off what we see as our situation and to focus in on what God said about our situation.   It's time to believe and to trust God with it all.    It's not only what we say that matters, it also matters what we do after we say we believe.

SCRIPTURE MEDITATION

Romans 10:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

What Do You Do When You Are Not Sure What To Do?

In the midst of all the trials that come with life, what do you do when you don’t know what to do?   Do you quit?   Do you give in?   Do you...
