Have you ever gotten so tired that you don’t know what to do next? Tired in your heart and tired in your mind? Tired of wondering when things will change and tired of asking the question why things are the way they are?
When you are tired, you are not able to take on as much and you are not able to accomplish as much. You become weary and that includes being weary in well doing. Tiredness makes it difficult for you to manage the things you do on a day to day basis. It is not God’s desire for you to be tired or weary in and with your life.
God wants us to learn how to rest in Him. He tells us in Matthew 11:28 to come unto Him and He will give us rest. He wants us to dwell in the secret place with Him and He wants us to abide under His shadow according to Psalm 91. We can get burdened down with the yokes of life where we are carrying around heavy burdens that we were not designed to carry around. However, God wants us to take His yoke upon us and to learn of Him and the things we are carrying around, He wants us to cast the care of those things on Him so that we won’t be weighed down by life.
We just have to know how to rest in God and we have to understand that in the rest of God is also peace, love, joy, and provision. It is not God’s desire for us to be weary in any aspect of our lives but we have to learn of Him so that our trust will be in Him and it will help us to wait on Him to do whatever needs to be done in our lives.
SCRIPTURE MEDITATION
Psalm 40:1-4
King James Version (KJV)
1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
