Is Your Hope and Expectation In God's Plan or Are You Being Disappointed Based On What You Want?

Are you disappointed in God?   The word disappointed means to be sad or displeased because someone or something has failed your hopes or your expectations.    How do you get disappointed in God?   How do you feel as though He has let you down?   The only way we can get disappointed in God is if our expectation and hope is in what we want ... when we want it .... instead of in His plan.    We have to get to the place where our hope and expectation is in the plan and purpose of God.   The desires may be the same.   What we want and what God wants for us may be exactly the same.   However, He has a plan and that plan has been in place since the foundation of the world.    We have to let our hope and our expectation be in God fulfilling "His Plan" for our lives.   

Along with hope and expectation comes trust.   We have to trust that our Daddy knows when we need whatever it is He has prepared for us.    It is only when we feel as though our desires ... what we want ... have not been fulfilled that we become disappointed.    Understand that disappointment leads to so many other things.    It leads to distress and disobedience.    There are times when we move on our own based on our disappointment.   

Make up in your mind that you are going to wait on God.   That your hope and expectation will be in God's plan and you will trust in God's timing.   Make up in your mind that you will wait on Him and that you believe that He knows what is best for you.
