Strengthen My Spirit Man (Written By Alexis Moore)
Philippians 4:13 NIV says I can do everything through him who gives me strength. I have been focusing on this scripture in the Bible for a few days now asking God to strengthen me. Today after looking up the meaning of strength I finally get it. Strength means mental power, force, vigor. Strength is not what is seen on the outside but it focuses on the inside as well. When we pray for strength we need to pray that He strengthens our minds as well. Because the flesh would love to control your mind because if it can convince you in your thoughts that you are wrong ... you will believe it.
Your soul is composed of your mind, will and emotions. When you pray for strength ... pray for your mind, will, and emotions. So that when the decision is made you know that your spirit man is walking in the will of God and that your soul is lined up. Once your mind is brought under the will of God your flesh will have no way to talk you out of the plans of God for your life, so it can do nothing but follow. Have faith in the Lord today, for He is looking to strengthen your spirit man.
