Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Sometimes you have to tell your soul what to
do. David gave a command to his soul
and to all that was within Him. He told
himself to bless the Lord. Sometimes
you don’t feel like giving God praise.
Especially when everything seems to be going in the wrong
direction. But understand, your
circumstances should not be dictating your praise. Your praise needs to be automatic. Just like each breath that you take.
When we consider the fact that each breath that we take
comes from God, we should automatically praise Him. For He is the breath of life. Without His breath we could not live. So instead of allowing your situation to
dictate your actions, make up in your mind that through every breath you
breathe, you will give God praise.
“Father help us to praise You in the midst of it all. In the midst of the pain. In the midst of the struggle. In the midst of every trial and in the midst
of all the turmoil. Father it is our
desire to praise You through it all because we know that our situation does not
change who You are. You are the one who
can change our situation in Jesus name.”
