So many times we lay claim to the wrong things. We take hold of things in our lives that do not edify...that do not build up....that do not bring us closer to God. We count these things as dear when actually they separate us from God. They cause distance and pile up as a fortress between us and God.
A fortress can be defined as a stronghold. Instead of entering into the fortress of God....the place of protection that is only found in Him.....we build our own fortress. We create strongholds both physically and mentally. A mental stronghold is a mindset. We tend to create mindsets where we won't allow God's word to come in and to penetrate. We take on the attitude of saying "it is what it is". When God says that everything is subject to the voice of His command.
Make sure that the only fortress you build today is in God. Let your stronghold (mindset) be one in which you give God total control. Let your opinions be "based" on the Word of God. Trust only in the peace and protection that God provides. Know that His protection is unchanging and His love never ends.
Make your day about Him. Make your life about Him. Let the river that resides on the inside of you flow through you today. Remove all "rocks" in your river.....anything that is blocking the flow from you to those around you. Lay claim to God today. Assert Him as your truth today. Assert means to state confidently and forcefully to those around you what and in whom you believe.
Remember.....it's all about God....it's never about us.....

Amen....it is all about God....as soon as we realize and accept that....the sooner we walk in the blessing and in who He is.
