What we have to understand in prayer is that it is a two-way conversation. It's not about dropping a load on God. We sometimes treat God like a laundry service. We drop off all of our dirty laundry....everything that is bad....everything that we don't want to handle to Him. God did say to bring all our cares to Him.....but are we waiting long enough in His presence to see what He has to say about it or to see what direction He wants us to take.
Waiting is an important part of prayer and being in God's presence. Strength comes in waiting. The Bible says that they that "wait" on the Lord shall renew their strength. Waiting is a part of trusting. When you have to trust.....it means that sometimes the answer may not be immediate. But you have a belief in the reliability, truth and ability of God.
We have to learn how to "patiently wait". To trust God enough to be still and allow Him to speak. We have to remember that "everytime" that God speaks.....something is created. Something is made manifest. That there is so much power in God's words that change "always" occurs when He speaks.
So if you need a change in your life......let God speak. Let God speak the direction that you need to go. Let God take pre-eminence to everything else in your life. Learn how to stop and be still in His presence. Learn how to listen and condition yourself to obey. Make up in your mind that obedience is not an option. Obedience is a part of your will and is subject to your actions.
Let your direction be from this point on to ......wait.....listen....and obey. Let your choices be that you will wait.....listen.....and obey. Let your attitude be one of waiting, listening, and obeying. Your attitude is your settled way of thinking which is reflected in your behavior.
Let your lifestyle be that you trust God enough to wait to hear God speak.....to listen to what God is saying....and to obey what He tells you to do.

Definitely a WORD in due season!!! I needed to hear all of this message. It's all about GOD"S timing.
Amen....a lot of times we go to God in a "rush". We have to learn that God is teaching us patience and obedience. There is not only provision that comes from waiting....there are also life lessons learned in our waiting. His timing is everything. We can have what we need....but....if we don't have it when we need it.....what good is it?
