Is that how you are doing God? Coming to Him when you want or need something and failing to commune with Him during the interim. During the times when your needs are met and your body is well. Why is it that we treat God as though He is a convenience store? Where we run in and get what we want and run back out. For the main things we need ....we go to a grocery store. But when we are in a rush and we need it right away....we go to the convenience store. At that point we don't care about the price we pay for it.....we just want it right then. That's how we do God. We will pay the price in prayer when the need is pressing. When we want Him to move right away. However, when the needs are not as prevalent we tend to shop around in "self". We try to figure out the best way we can get it done.....without having to pay the full price through obedience, through prayer, through praise, and through worship.
We have to get to the place where we are willing to pay the full price for the things that we want and need in our life. Where we are willing to walk in obedience and willing to pray until we get the answer. Where we are willing to sacrifice what is convenient in order to receive God's best.
