God wants to do not only what you want Him to do.....He wants to do the unexpected. So often we look to God for things that we want or need in our lives specifically. You have to begin to understand that God wants to bless you not only with what you need. He wants to overtake and overshadow you with more of who He is.
Just because God loves you. Just because He wants to move for you. Just because He wants to move in you. Not based on your need but based on His love for you. God's desire is to show you who He is ..... as He unveils Himself to you. The thing is....you will miss aspects of God based on your attention span. Based on whether you allow yourself to become deterred or distracted by life. We have to begin to understand what it really means to say our life is in God's hands. It means that "He's Got It". Whatever the need, whatever the want, whatever the desire......If it all lines up with His will, His purpose, and His plan.....not only does He have it....but He will give it.
Do you really trust God today? Is He really the King of your life? The one who rules and reigns in your heart, in your mind, in your will, and in your emotions? Are you subject to His rule and command or are you trying to find your own territory to rule and command? The place in your mind where you think you know the answers and want to live it out your own way without any help from God.
You have to understand that God is omnipresent. He sees all and He knows all. He knows your next moment and your next breadth. He knows every attack that the enemy has planned against your life. Why walk the path alone when God knows every trap that has been set along the way? He knows every place that sickness will try to enter in. He knows the areas where debt will try to overtake you. God knows it all. Yet we choose to walk alone....unprotected. When your mind is protected....you don't worry. You protect your mind by filling it with God's word. When it is full of God's word.....you win the war based on your knowledge and understanding of who God is and what He has done. When the enemy strikes at you with doubt.....you strike back with what God has said concerning the situation.
Get into the position today of expecting the unexpected from God. Expect Him to do the exceedingly .... abundantly .... above all you can think or ask.
