How many times has God moved in your life and you have seen Him do the miraculous? Deliver you when you didn't have a way out. Heal you when you were sick. Sustain you when you had nothing. YET.....you still run. You still don't trust Him. Although He has done so much for YOU....you still struggle with your faith.
When Elijah ran from Jezebel, God sent for Him and asked Him why was He at that place? The place of unbelief....of doubt....of not trusting. Why had he journeyed back into the wilderness and into a cave after he had just set other people free? Are we doing that? Are we helping others to become free .... yet staying in bondage ourselves? Better yet.....are we making excuses to God as to why we are there? Why we are walking in "faith failure".....fear and lack of trust rather than walking in "fullness of faith".
When God called Elijah out, he told him to go and stand on the mount. The mount is a high place....a place of elevation. While standing there the wind, the earthquake, and the fire all came. But God was not in any of that. How many of us would stand in the midst of strong wind......would stand in the midst of an earthquake.....would stand in the midst of fire ..... knowing that God was not there? How many of us would stand still in the place that God told us to go until we heard Him speak .... telling us what we are to do next?
Elijah went to the place God told him to go and He STOOD STILL until he heard the voice of the Lord. He didn't run.....He didn't quit.....He stood. That's what God wants from us. He want us to stand. He doesn't want us to run in the face of adversity. He wants us to stand where He is placing us and to trust that He won't let anything harm us. He wants our direction to come from Him.
The question now is .... are you willing to stand against the enemies of life that are trying to dictate to you your situation and allow God to use you for His plan and purpose in the earth. How you "react" and how you "respond" are always acts of YOUR will.
