What Badge Are You Wearing?

A badge is a distinguishing emblem or mark that is worn to signify a membership, employment, or achievement.   It reveals  who you are and what you believe and stand for.  So the question today is who or what are you standing for?   What badge are you wearing?   Are you wearing a badge of pride and self worth?   Or are you wearing a badge of humility and Jesus worth?

God has given us all authority....yet how we use that authority is left up to us.    How we stand and who we stand for......is a choice.   We choose to believe, we choose to take a stand, we choose to give, and we choose to live.  How we live and our "stance" is left up to us.    God has already pointed us in the direction we should go and He has already told us to choose life.....but He has placed the power and the authority to do so in us.    The choice is ours.

When I look at an officer (whether police, fire, sheriff, etc.), I immediately see a person of authority.   A person who has been put in charge.   God has given us a badge of authority.   He has given us a "charge".   Just as there are officers that misuse their authority........we also can misuse the authority given to us.

We must begin to take our "charge" seriously.    Charge means that you have been imposed a duty, responsibility, or obligation.    The badge that you have been given is the "blood".   It is not like the officers badge  only worn on the chest.   The blood is designed for  you to be clothed in it.   From head to toe.   Not only is it designed for you to be clothed in it.   It is also designed to be "applied" to situations and circumstances in your life as well.   This is so that when the enemy comes around, He immediately knows the authority, power, and influence that you have been endowed with.

The biggest problem we have is that we don't "apply" the blood.   The blood has to be applied.    Just as an officer has to wear his badge in order for him to enforce authority.   You have to "put on" and "put into action" the blood of Jesus in your life.

Apply the blood today.   Walk in the power and authority you have been given.   Do not nullify (counteract the force or effectiveness of) the blood of Jesus in your life.  Remember.....the blood was shed for all of us.
