Where Is Your Safety?

Psalm 91 in the Amplified says....

HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

 

The questions for today is "where is your safety"?   Where are you dwelling?  To dwell means to live or continue in a given state or condition.    Are you living in your problems?   Or are you living in your promise?   God has given you a promise of peace, of healing, of love, of joy.   He has told you that He will never leave you nor forsake you.    The question is are you living and dwelling .... keeping your mind stayed .... on your promise from God or your situation.   

 

What does it mean to remain stable?   To be fixed?   It means that you are unmovable.   To be unchangeable.   It means that you know what you know and that you totally trust in the promise that is before you.   

 

Do you believe God today?   Do you believe that He is your refuge?   Your protection from danger and distress?    Do you believe that He is your fortress?   Your impenetrable source?   Your fortified place?   

 

When you believe that God is your refuge...

When you make Him your secret place.....

When He becomes your fortress.....

 

Then you can lean, rely, and confidently put your trust in Him.    Then you will no longer waver or be swayed.    When you come to be anchored and fixed under the shadow of his Word and the work that was accomplished on the cross.    It is a at that point you dwell in His safety.   

 

Please know that the only safety that you have in an unstable condition is found in a building that is fixed and cannot be moved.    The only thing that is fixed in life is God and His word.   That is the only thing in life that is unchanging.    In a hurricane, your best safety is either an underground  storm shelter or in the center of the building.    The same is true in life.    We need to be under God's word and in the center of His will for our lives.
