Look at your prayers today....are they directed solely to what "you" need? Or do they extend beyond your need to someone else? We hear the expression all the time ..... "somebody prayed for me". When will we be the ones praying for someone else? When will we see beyond our own insufficiency and begin to intercede and become the "Pray-er" for someone else.
Some of us are in a position to help financially....some of us cannot. But all of us can pray. We need to learn to do what we can do. What we have to understand is that God knows where all the provision is. He is the resource to access the resources we need. We need to learn how to access God .... not only on our own behalf .... but on the behalf of others.
We have to understand the call of intercession. The true meaning of standing in the gap. We have to understand that sometimes the hurt and the pain puts us in a place of confusion. Where we don't know what do or what to say. That is when we need someone else to help us....to call for us....to stand in the gap for us.
No we don't always know why people do what they do. Unfortunately .... sometimes people don't always understand why they are even doing what they do. But who are we to judge. That's when we should be praying. Praying for God to help them. That they recognize His power. His goodness and His grace. That's when we should do as Moses did and go before God on behalf of the people. When we murmur, complain, and talk about what people do .... instead of praying for them ..... we are reinforcing the enemy's plan. We have to understand that our words are "enforcers". In other words they strengthen and build up. They establish. The question is.....what are your strengthening and building up. Is it God's plan for peoples lives or the enemy's plan? We have to watch what we say and make our words count. Let them be established without having to go back and uproot what we have said.
Be one who intercedes today. Be a "pray-er". Let your words be God's words. Use them to strengthen, edify, and build up someone around you. Whether you do it by what you say to them or by praying for them. Use your words wisely.

Lord, thank YOU for reminding me to use my words
more wisely. I am going to have to give account of EVERY idle word that comes out of my mouth. Thank YOU also for reminding me to be more of a "pray-er."
I am yours LOrd I am yours
