Don't Miss God Today .... Being Stuck In What Happened Yesterday

Today is a new day.   Do you understand what new means?   It means it has never happened before.     We have to stop living in yesterday.   Yesterday's hurt....yesterday's pain.     That is why it is a new day.   It is new so you don't have to live in what happened yesterday.    What we do is take yesterday with us.   We carry with us the hurt, the pain, the heartache and any and everything else we can.    We hold on to what we need to be letting go of.

How can you move forward if you are continuously being pulled back by things that are a part of your past?   How can you reach your potential in God if you are living on your accomplishments and your disappointments of yesterday.     The whole meaning of the word  yesterday is "the day preceding".   When something precedes or comes before.   The blessing is that God has not left us in yesterday.   He has given us a new day.....a new opportunity.   A new chance to do it all over again.   To live for Him.   To love for Him.  To trust Him .... and to believe Him.

Sometimes we look back at what happened in our past and in our yesterdays and all we see is disappointment.   Imagine living your life today to the fullest potential.   To the point that God was able to use you and do all that He needed to do through you.   You can never fulfill what you need to do today if  part of your focus and part of your attention is still on yesterday.    Understand today that God needs all of you.   He needs all of your attention.   He wants you to see and recognize what is going on around you today.   When you are distracted .... you miss things going on around you.   You miss the opportunity to pray.....you miss the opportunity to praise.    Don't miss God today ..... being stuck in what happened yesterday.
