Are you running.....or are you always on the run? To busy to stop. To busy to see. To busy to hear what is going on all around you. God is saying we need to stop. We need to take time to look around us. We need to take time to hear what others are saying. Listen to the heart of their cry.
The world is crying. The world is crying for help. For a Savior. For a friend. The world is seeking someone to help them. To show them who God really is. But we are running. We are running so fast that people can't see. They can't see the God in us. We don't stop long enough to allow them to see who God is. We don't stop to show them the "love" of God. The compassion that passes understanding. We don't stop long enough to show them the "joy" of the Lord or the "peace" of God. We're running.
We say that we are running for Him but loving God is about loving His people. Feeding His sheep. When you feed someone ..... you give them something that will strengthen them and build them up. That will be bread for their tomorrow. Something that will sustain them. But we are so busy running that we run out. We eat the bread we have (that word that is needed to sustain) for ourselves. We don't share it. We don't build anyone up along the way. We don't reflect the love, joy, and peace of God. So how are we wiping away any tears. When we do this....sometimes instead of wiping away tears.....we are causing more tears to flow. We are saying one thing and displaying another.
It's time to realize that this walk has never been about "self" or sustaining self. It is all about dying to self as you live for God. It's about giving what you have and trusting God to sustain you. If all you have is love.....give love. If all you have is peace.....give peace. If all you have is joy.....make somebody laugh today. Pour out what you have and allow God to fill you with a flow that is never ending.
So again I say that it's time we "stop", "look", and "listen". Listen to the cries of the people around you and do whatever you can.....in whatever way that God has enabled you.....to wipe away their tears.
