Our motives are based on our motivation. What is the source of your motivation? Is it God's Word? Or is it your wants? What is causing you to do the things that you do?
It's time to check. What's in your heart? What is in your thoughts? What is it that causes you pleasure? The Word says that God has pleasure in the prosperity of His people. When we hear that, we tend to think it's all about money. God wants us to have whole life prosperity. Health, Wealth, Peace, Love, Joy......completeness in Him. So what is it that gives you pleasure? What is it that motivates you to move? Is it people, places, things? Or is it God and His love for you?
It's time to get in a place where our sole motivation is based on who God is and what God has said. That is the one thing in this life that will never change. His Word is unchanging. His ways are unchanging. His love is unchanging.
Let your motivation be to please Him. Let your pleasure come from pleasing Him. Let your life be a source of God's pleasure for it is His will to give you "whole life" prosperity ..... if you let Him. His ability to do that is based on the choices you make. Will you choose to serve and surrender to Him? Or will you choose to walk it out your way and seek your own source of motivation and pleasure?
The choice is yours.....it's all about "what's it about to you". What salvation means to you. What love means to you. What peace means to you. What joy means to you. What prosperity means to you. Just remember to "count up the cost". What will it cost to live your life based on making your choices versus the choices that God has asked you to make? The cost is always going to be your life. The true question is will you walk as one of the redeemed or will you sell your soul?
