When Will You Let Your Past Be Your Past?

Sometimes we try to carry along to much baggage.   We want to take everything with us wherever we go.   But that is not what God is telling us to do.   He has said to let go of what is behind and to follow Him.   But we want to pick up our cross and follow Him.   Do you know what the cross of Jesus represented?  It represented all your pain, all your sickness, all your disease, all your sin, all your debts......it represented it all.   So the question is......why are you picking up your cross with all these things on it.   Why do you keep picking up your past and trying to carry it with you in your purpose?

Your purpose is to represent who God is.   You can't represent God if you are covered with sin.   You can't represent God is you are bound by your sickness.   Allowing it to have control over your life.   It's time to let go. To leave the old baggage behind.   To stop trying to carry a load that you were never designed to carry.

Your purpose and your design was to carry who God is.   To show forth His glory to a dying world.   To show forth His praise in spirit and truth.   To go and tell the world of His goodness, His grace, and His mercy.

So make it your agenda today to leave your past behind ..... and to follow Him.   When you follow Christ you don't have to worry about your past overtaking you because you have already been overtaken by the blood.
