We say.....where you go I will follow. What you say......I will do. Not my will but your will Father. Not my way but your way. The question is ..... do you really mean what you say?
Words can be spoken.....but do you "believe" what you are saying? Do you "mean" what you are saying?
If you tell God you will follow......why do you try to change the direction when He leads you down the road of righteousness? When He tells you to be a blessing to someone......why do you rationalize and ignore what He is telling you to do? When you say not my will but your will Father......why is it that your will always becomes the one to manifest? When you say not your way but God's way.......why is it that in most cases the way that you choose is a result of what your flesh wanted to do?
When it's all said and done...... When the results are in...... Was the result a manifestation of what you wanted to do or what God was telling you to do? When you open up your mouth and you praise God for what He has done.......was it because He had to rescue you or because you walked in obedience.
It's time to live out our lives in obedience and not be dependent upon God's rescue. Because God loves us....when we call upon Him.....He WILL answer. But we have to get to a place where we live in obedience and utilize His rescue for emergency situations. Our lives should not be a series of rescues. Jesus has already rescued us when He died on the cross. Why are we continuing to step back into the fire that we have already been redeemed from? Why are we living in the place of penalty rather than the place of redemption?
When you are penalized......it means you are punished. Whereas when you are redeemed.....you are set free. We have to get the place of understanding that we are no longer under the penalty of sin and death. We have been set free by the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ.
When will we get to the place where we know that God is our shield, protector, and guide? When will we get to the place where our words have meaning? Where we "mean" what we say and do what we "mean"? When you "mean" to do something.....YOU DO IT ON PURPOSE.
