Your heart, your mind, your life. Are you keeping it clean? Your will, your way, your words.
Are you in a place where you watch what you do and what you say? Are you allowing the word to cleanse you daily?
Every day we have an opportunity to be filled with the dirt of the world. The way the world thinks, the way the world acts, the way the world does things is always at our disposal. It is always there....waiting.....to see if we will partake of it.....or rest in it. The particles of the world are always getting on us. The question is....do we allow it to build up on us to the point that it becomes visible? It becomes visible in the way we look and in the things we do.
We have to make sure that we are cleansing ourselves daily with the "water of God's word". To be washed in the Word. To remove all the dust and dirt that accumulated throughout the day from things we heard and the things we saw. It accumulates. When you watch television......when you go to the store.......when you listen to the radio.....even on Christian channels. It enters in through the eye and ear gates and accumulates on your heart and mind.
We have to be careful about how we receive the opinions of other people. You have to ask yourself .... is it a God opinion or God perspective. You have to begin to filter everything you say and everything you do through the filter of God's word. In doing so ...... you purge the unnecessary. Those things that are not necessarily the will, purpose, and plan of God. Those things that will cause your thoughts to be deterred and for the path of your life to become "curved" rather than "straight and narrow".
Always remember that cleansing is always available. The Word is always there for you to weigh your thoughts, your actions, and the things that you see and hear against it. Nothing in your life should outweigh the Word of God. Nothing in your life should oppose the Word of God. The best action would be to avoid any and all things that are not in line with God's plan. But some things we cannot avoid....some places we must go. At that point it becomes necessary to cleanse yourself from the rudiments of the world. A rudiments is something that is in it's first stages. It is undeveloped. What we tend to do is not wash off the things of the world when they are in the development stages. We allow it to come to maturity. To become fully developed and strong. At which point it becomes a stronghold.
What will you do today with the things you hear today and the things you see? Will you purge and cleanse yourself through the washing of the Word?
